Okay I just did the same thing. I Signed in and linked it with my steam account. Didn't get a second key.....

Yes, I understand that. But I get logged into Shift in BL2, but it keeps asking me for a key. They never sent me a message, for a key. Email, steam message, in game message. Nothing. This is retarded.
But what ever. Everyone will be finding better loot than you can get in that chest anyway. Not really worried about it honestly.

Shift isn't even working right now. Keeps saying unable to connect. So cool, they froze distributing for what reason exactly? Honestly they should have a MUCH better system in so people didn't accidentally use it. I saw a chest, i looted it. Would have loved for it to have said, "You will use your golden key, are you sure?" that is exactly what i said. i wasnt paying much attention and opened up a chest that looked like a gun chest. low and behold it was the gold chest so i got my guns at level 9, lol.
a warning, like most games give, would have been great. oh well tho, i guess. ill just pwn enemies for a few hours then my gun wll be outdated and weak
