I quite agree here. Its the same thing over and over, I haven't even played it in a week. I don't even want to continue it.

I am convinced that Pete will give me every single legendary other than a few obvious ones like the norfleet. I have been hitting him solo on the 4 player setting. Even at 1 player he drops a lot. I should start trying trying to get into the treasure room though.

It depends on how fair you want to be. If I use the evil smasher glitch, I can drop him in about 30 seconds with Axton. Other classes would be faster. If you miss the bee, that is the way to go.

The evil smasher (quest reward) has a chance to have 10x power. If you reload, switch to another weapon and switch back immediately, It will power up almost every time. That effect stacks and, most importantly, it applies to all of your other weapons as well. You can easily have an infinity pistol firing a hundred bullets each time. I usually use a sand hawk to take down his shield and switch to a baby maker or a pistol to finish him off. I have read about people powering up their guns to insane amounts, but I just power mine up slightly. Then I let the elevator come down on my head so I don't have to use eridium to respawn him, don't have to wait for the elevator to get back down and I don't have to reset to 4 players each time.

He is streaky. There have been times when I get nothing in 20 runs and times when he gives one or two legendaries each time. But at most it is 2 or 3 minutes start to finish. I've been selling legendaries in the vending machines.

Vexerr posted a story about this a while ago. I tried it out and it only went up in power one out of about 20 reloads for me. Got frustrating extremely quickly. I am not sure on this, but I also seem to remember reading the glitch with it upgrading all of your guns only being present on PC for some reason.

OK I see what you mean. I would let it reload so it would power up once then the next like 15 reloads would have no effect. I may give it a shot, I still have one in my safe.

My streak of no legendaries from the Warrior continues. He seems to be dropping them for everyone else tonight.

That's about right for finishing playthrough 1, all of us were around that level. The best way to get the best guns is to farm enemies that drop them. If you're talking orange (the rarest) loot, here is a wiki drop list of who drops what: http://www.bl2wiki.com/Legendary_Gear . There should be a link in there for lists of purple and blue loot, not as rare but a lot of them have flavor (red text) in their description which gives them special abilities. It may take quite a few kills to get them. If you want the guns you get to be level 50, beating playthrough 2 to get every enemy in the game to level 50 will be necessary. If not, just trying to get them on PT 2 will get you some pretty beastly guns.

It really depends on their level, typically if they are on the same level as another weapon they are better. The stats they have don't always seem to be better, but they behave a bit differently than the other guns in the game, and require use before the difference becomes apparent. There is also a wiki that explains what the red text does for most weapons, and how they behave. I will say some orange items aren't as good, but they are kind of cool to see used a few times. An example of this is the deliverance shotgun, when you throw it the thing follows an enemy until it hits it instead of the typical tediore toss to reload. It is cool and an solid gun, but not as good as some of the other guns.
