The context proves my point ENTIRELY:

23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! 24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God! 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

Recap:

1. Rich man asks Jesus what he can do to get into Heaven
2. Jesus says to sell everything he has and give it to the poor.
3. Rich man is sad.
4. Jesus says that it's, like, really hard for a rich man to get into heaven.
5. Disciples are like, "Jesus are you serious right now?"
6. Jesus doubles down.

Then Jesus was crucified, and we look to Romans 10:9. If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

And that truth is so simple, many cannot grasp it.

So, Mr. Cathy believed that at a young age, ran his company in a way that never strayed from biblical principles, and The Lord blessed Mr. Cathy and his company.

The Bible is a perfect document. If you seek confusion and contradition, you will find it. However, if you seek the truth, it is also there.

People want to complain because "liberals" are hypocritical. Here is a perfect example of a Christian mocking someone else's beliefs. It's gone on throughout this thread but is only pointed out when a liberal locks someone.

You don't even follow what you claim is The Word.

Its been said multiple times that Dan Cathy, as an American, is free to have his beliefs and to even express those beliefs. He is not, sadly, just obeying the Word. He is financially supporting nonprofits that would gladly try to violate the Constitution. Again, its his right to believe and financially support who he wishes. It is MY right not to fund organizations which would violate the rights which have been fought for by people like my brother and your son. You may be at peace with what Dan Cathy does, but it takes a really disturbing mindset to mock someone else when they exercise the rights you're so intent on protecting when the message is something you agree with.

Apparently the Mayor of Boston is yet another stupid f'n yankee. Seems to be far too many of those. I hope Chik Fil A moves in and builds the worlds largest Chik Fil A as close as possible to city hall and the DA Mayor's office.

Seems it is inevtiable that religion and politics cross. I'm definitely not saying either side is the culprit, but it seems it will continue to be an issue in about all facets of life. I don't have the answers. Not even sure of the questions most times. It think it tends to be a very personal issue. I hear many viewpoints from Christians that I completely oppose, and many I agree with. Not denominational either. I'm Baptist and so is that Phelps guy, and there is nothing about him or his beliefs that I am in agreement with. Tough issues. No easy answers.

No one has tried to push that lifestyle on you. Additionally, considering that you know me the implication that I am a lesbian is so obviously intended to be inflammatory it is almost laughable. It will not work.

The only thing being asked for is you to stop with the hypocritical nonsense. You beat others about the head with your bible but curse someone when they point out your hypocrisy.

And I am well aware of what I am talking about, I cannot help that you do not comprehend.

It is inevitable because people refuse to fight it unless the mixture is with a religion that they oppose. You and I both know every Christian in this nation would rise to prevent legislation which was based in Islamic principle. My question is why oppose one and not the other?

I don't pretend to know all the answers but I am intelligent and honest enough to recognize that the current system is nothing short of dangerous and divisive. Something must change or we will all suffer.
