See thats the thing..we're playing ok as far as offense goes. But once we start hitting the ball like we're pitching we're gonna be tough to beat. IMO we havent even reached our potential but we have won 51 games..thats tied for 2nd in the major league with the yankees. Uggla looked good tonight..and if he starts playing we're gonna be a force.

Oh, I also think I saw Lowe point over to the dugout after his 3 run double. I like to think he was pointing at Huddy going, "I can do it, too, buddy." lol

Im worried about who we will trade though...i really dont wanna see anyone go except some AAA pitching. We'll probably have to get rid of Schaffer too..seeing as he is still in development and showing promise. Prado is about to start his rehab stint and should be back soon. Im interested to see who will sit, McClouth or Jordan. My guess is Nate for the time being.

Doc is good...but I havent seen a Brave starter perform like this since the big 3 in the 90's. Hanson is pitching lights out too...done really well for just coming off the DL.

Yes sir. Its fun to watch.
Long Long way to go. The Braves are typically in this position at the break. So hopefully this year they dont tumble down the stretch. Got to wake up the echos a little.

Most of the rumors I've heard involve Michael Bourn. Some others that dont hold as much weight are Hunter Pence and Ryan Ludwick. Just read the Beachy isnt going anywhere, especially for Carlos Quentin..he wouldnt be that big of an upgrade as he is a terrible defender and strikes out way too much. We need someone that can either get on base and have some speed(Bourn) or someone that can hit bombs and drive in runs(Pence/Ludwick).

Just also read that the White Sox scouts werent there to just see Beachy, but Derek Lowe. Thinking trading him for Carlos is a possibility. Houston also just said that Pence is the cornerstone of their franchise and will not be traded. Bourn however is pretty much gone to either us, Giants, or Nationals. He has a free agent year coming up and he's a Scott Boras client..no way the Astros can resign him. Also read that Kemp and Ethier will not be shopped. So right now its looking like Bourn or possibly Carlos if we trade.

Neither Quentin nor a half year rental of Bourn really seem all that much of an upgrade to me. I know it's a pipe dream, but is there anyway we could get into the Reyes sweepstakes?

Hearing JJ Hardy will be on the market if they dont get his contract figured out by the deadline. I wouldnt mind trading Alex and some pitching for him. Alex's defense is amazing but he's hitting the ball like shit.

What do yall think about going after Jose Reyes? I know he has had some injury problems in the past and is a little tweeked right now but if he could stay healthy i think he could be a huge pick up.
