Random thought- why the hell isn't the Quality Start stat (6+ innings, 3 or fewer ER) used to identify pitchers instead of the W-L?

Like, let's say that Minor comes out tonight and Kimbrel blows the save, resulting in Minor not getting a win. How does that make sense? Why shouldn't Minor get the credit for a great outing regardless of what his relief pitchers and hitters do?

Good point.. They should use the Quality Start stat for sure.. It's a great way to see how well a pitcher has pitched all year.

I agree, let Minor try to get a complete game.

great point - kid is finally pitching much better these days and we need him to continue to pitch like this

Dude has actually played decent at 2nd this year besides screwing us in the Washington game.. But that's the only good thing I'll say about him.

The sad thing is.. When he leaves ATL, he's going to put up MVP numbers somewhere else.. Players that leave here seem to do that all the time.
