Heard this morning Buster Olney mentioned the Braves might be interested in Beltran. He didn't think the Mets would have a problem dealing within the division...if I was the Braves, I would have a problem.

really want to make something happen before the deadline as i really think a top notch lead off hitter could really make a huge difference in the teams ability to manufacture runs ... forst half of the year has been fun despite the injuries and poor batting averages of several of our hitters

I kind of feel like many years we have some players player over their heads until the trading deadline passes...then they fall back to earth then we need help somewhere.

i agree but surely they were not thinking that Medlan would be that effective that soon ?? i thought they were waiting on Moylan to be back by then ; anyway , i now think we are going to have to make some kind of a move to bolster the bullpen at the very least
