Braxton Miller and Jeff Driskel

  • Here is the thing Braxton Miller is going to put up Fantasy football type numbers in this system.

He is already on pace to throw for 2500 yards and 1200 yards rushing. He's already wayyyy ahead than last year. He's a 61.5% passer. Last year he had 13 passing TD's and 7 rushing. After 3 games he has 7 passing TD's and 5 rushing.

Thing is Miller has to go against Indiana, Purdue, Penn State, Illinois, Nebraska. Not world beaters on Defense. B1G is horrible, he will put up crazy numbers. Driskel is showing he has that "it" factor and will only get better.

Doesn't matter if Miller impress some message board posters if he stays healthy he will put up video game type stats that will put it on a short list for Heisman hype. The media is already talking about and Meyer shot it down and said they will not have any type of campaign.

  • Braxton is in Heisman contention THIS YEAR... He's putting up ridiculous number so far. inferior opponents... maybe.. but its not like hes completely unproven against them. He played very well against Michigan, Nebraska and Wisconsin last year, so with a better offense you can expect more of the same this year.

Nothing against Driskel he has played very consistent against good competition. But hes just a game manager at this point. Braxton completely has the "It" factor. No one in the country has the ability to stop and juke like he does.. with the combination of top end speed. Def still learning to throw the deep ball but hes completing the throws he has to at 61% with 611 yrds and & 7 Tds. 5 rush Td with 377yrds. Right now hes just more dynamic

I agree he is a game manager but that is cause the talent around him sucks considering its UF

Easily the worst WR core i have seen at UF in my 20 or so years watching them

Nobody scares me and they usually have at least 1 dood that gives me worry

    blank

No way Miller is even in the same ball park as Geno Smith, DAT, and other Heisman contenders.

Driskel is underwhelming to say the least

Agreed. First two starts of his career, game winning comebacks in the fourth quarter on the road in hostile environments. Wake me up when he wins a Natty.

He said that after week one. This week he seemed more open to it.

I think if he started to get legitimate hype and being a finalist becomes realistic, tOSU will campaign for him.

Underwhelming? Interesting opinion assuming you watched the last two weeks.

Miller led Ohio State to a win over Wisconsin last year as a true freshman, did he not?

  • Haven't seen much of the others, as I usually just watch the SEC games and those go on all day. But Driskel is really coming into his own and has improved drastically since being named the starter. The only other one on your the list from that year I have seen much of is Khiel Frazier. He has looked horrible! Vastly overrated and seems lost in the pocket! Without a trick play and a hail Mary at the half, he would be 0-3 as a starter!

He has looked lost at times.

I will say that he was recruited to run Malzahn's offense and obviously AU isn't running that system any more, but you are right that he has not lived up to expectations thus far.

Seriously, I'm a huge homer and braxtons atheletic ability is huge but he really really sucks at reading the field and throwing the deep ball. I can personally gurantee you that he will not win a heisman. I'm willing to bet myself paying double yearly sub price for the time he is in college if you are willing to give me double free years if he doesn't win one. I will pony up and pay double my monthly rate until he leaves college. If he does not win it by then i get free years for all my extra cash paid doubled.

You realize how ignorant it would be to take this bet regardless of the player, right?
