Brian Kelly a jerk

  • So earlier this year, USC/Kiffin released Frosh RB Amir Carlisle to ND,.even though they are our top rivals, and tha kid is a good RB but we had no problem letting him go their did not block tha transfer. Tee Sheppard 4* CB wants to.transfer from ND to USC, but guess what Kelly wont allow him such BS. Cant wait to play tha Domers and curbstomp em mostly to see BKs redface

    I can't stand Kelly but this particular situation is not him being a jerk.

    Coaches do this ALL the time.. They block transfers to big schools, certain conferences and usually teams that recruited the kid.

    Happens all of the time so i'll stick up for Kelly this one time.

    But what if "you" don't actually curb stomp them and "you" actually lose? I'm using "you" because "you" wont be " curb stomping anyone or anything other than the remote control if "you" lose. Jmo.

  • There is a difference. Carlisle was basically kidnapped by his father and Kiffin just let it go.

    Tee left on his own and Kelly didn't want to reward him for bailing.

    Kelly could have considered a little professional courtesy considering Kiffin's not contesting Amir's transfer but I really didn't expect it from a coach who's on the hot seat.

    Yeah but he's saying that Kelly should at least give him one if Kiffin didn't block the kid that went to ND on a transfer.

    I don't have a problem with the transfer rules or anything like that and wouldn't blame Kelly at all, BUT if Kiffin threw ND a bone then Kelly should do the same.

    I see where you are coming from and see why you feel that way 100%. However, do you find it maybe a little hypocritical he would take a kid from USC but won't let a kid go there.

    I get what you are saying... Miles let a solid player transfer to Bama not to long ago.. Phelon Jones which surprised me.

    The ND/USC situation just adds to the Rivalry.. Hell I wouldn't let any of my players go to a Rivals.. Screw that noise.

    It's a slap in the face to commit somewhere but want to leave to a Rival school?

    The Phelon situation was different.. He was from Alabama and needed to be home for some reason (I forgot why)

    I'm honestly shocked that Kiffin didn't block the other kids transfer. My guess is that he thought it would benefit his school as well by putting someone he thought would benefit them greater in the future with the opening with their limited schollies just beginning (or he knew they were coming at least) but Kelly should still at least return the favor.

    agreed, but in this case. I cant blame Kelly, Kiffin should have not let a rival school have a transfer,nice of him to do, but still cant blame Kelly..

    Recruiting is shady enough as it is and you want to open it up for coaches to recruit players who are already at schools that they evaluated? Hey great year Johnny and great job developing this talent and investing in the player Marshall, but he is too good to play for you now so he is going to Ohio State next year.
