Brian Kelly a jerk

I'm honestly shocked that Kiffin didn't block the other kids transfer. My guess is that he thought it would benefit his school as well by putting someone he thought would benefit them greater with their limited schollies just beginning (or he knew they were coming at least) but Kelly should still at least return the favor.

Point taken but I see it like this, remember when Meyer was ''poaching'' other Big Ten school's already commited recruits? There was nothing in the rule book saying that Meyer broke any NCAA rules. Neither did Kelly. Unwritten rules go out the window IMO. As far as I'm concerned the Irish need all the advantages they can get.

  • A commitment is a commitment.

Players should only be able to transfer if their coaches leaves.

You can't let kids start transferring anywhere they want.. No friggin' way.

Does BK even have a wife?

If he does.. She's probably locked in the basement and has BK come in with his red rocket to do some damage.

Recruiting is shady enough as it is and you want to open it up for coaches to recruit players who are already at schools that they evaluated? Hey great year Johnny and great job developing this talent and investing in the player Marshall, but he is too good to play for you now so he is going to Ohio State next year.

That already goes on. Corey Grant transferred from Bama to Auburn and said that Trooper never stopped calling him even after he was at Alabama.

  • Best option for Tee is to go the Juco route, then come to USC. Been out of football for a while, so playing Juco ball would be very beneficial to him. After that Notre Dame could not say shit about where he goes.

College football is no more than a job, Which starts off as a commitment until you get tired of it and change jobs. If you aren't old enough to drink beer legally you can't really be held accountable for any certain commitment. Hell, it's easier to get out of te military than a college football commitment. Something's odd about that.

You still can't have that.. You'll have the team's best players all going to one place or good players at OK schools going to other schools and it would completely ruin all parody in CFB.

Now, they can make different rules but you cannot let kids start going wherever the hell they want bc they get a little unhappy.

Either way, just from a development standpoint I think the Juco route is the best bet for him.

I actually thought Grant is having to pay his own way to go to Auburn right now. I pretty sure Saban didn't release him.

You are actually right on that one. My bad

I agree. College football would be a clusterfvck if the transfer rules weren't as tough as they are. They have plenty of time to pick where they want to go. Once they commit and sign then it should be a done deal. I actually wish it were tougher for coaches to leave their schools as well. I'm also not saying that because Saban is our coach. I've thought that well before Saban was our coach.

I think if you give a kid 1 year renewable scholarships then they should be able to open transfer. If you give a kid a 4 year guaranteed scholly then no.

    Pretty good point but still.

It's not like the kids aren't allowed to play football ever again. They have to sit one year and it doesn't count against their eligibility. Not saying that you didn't know that just pointing out that it's not like a death sentence. At the same time it's a deterrent for the kids not to sign somewhere just for the sakes of signing.

But that's one year of pro ball they may not play equalling possibly millions of dollars.

If you get promised things and fulfill your part of the bargain you should deserve some consideration if those promises aren't kept.

So you actually think that players should be able to leave without any consequences regarding playing time no matter what the reason is? It would be complete anarchy.

Recruits should be able to leave at anytime and immediately be eligible to play wherever they go and go where ever they want to go.

Yeah how about no. If that would be allowed, all the good players would just transfer to the best team every year and players would just hop from school to school.

That and people would complain because schools would have to get rid of lower ranked players to accomodate the good one's that want to come to their school. The argument really makes no sense when you sit back and think about it. It would do WAY more harm to the players than it would help them.

Yeah it baffles me when people shout out.. "Kids should be allowed to transfer anywhere they want at any time".

Those people obviously have not thought out the pros and cons.. And the cons far outweigh the pros in terms of keeping the game fair.
