We knew Pete would leave us eventually, we were told to enjoy him while we had him, back in 2007...he is just too competitive to take his previous "fail" in the NFL. At least he never left us to jump into bed with another CFB program.
Saban is a great college football coach, with all the advantages around him, all ready in place.

I'm not sure you really know what you're talking about. Alabama's program looks nothing like it did in 2007 when he got here. The only "advantage" we had was that we play in the best league in college football and had a rich tradition ... and most 18 yr old kids don't really care about tradition.
Why y'all haven't fired that child that coaches your proud program is beyond me. Y'all look silly. It's USC, not Fresno. You don't hand the keys to the USC kingdom to Lane effin Kiffin. What the hell is Pat waiting on?
Anyone can recruit to SC. Anyone can. But that's all Kiffin can do. He can't coach his way out of anything. Embarrassing to watch.

The highlighted part is pure BS....kids in Alabama grow up with the legend of Bear Bryant in the background, and kids dream of playing for Bama. You have a much greater advantage than us, since Cali kids have no problem leaving the state - a majority of people in California come from somewhere else, with family spread all over the country. Also, for a great part of your history, segregation forced African American kids to leave the region and head east or west, when that finally changed, your kids and generations of living relatives that had to send their children away, finally could keep them home.
Pete Carroll came to a program that had not been relevant in almost 20 years, he said himself that the only recruiting tool he used his first year was that USC had won "2000 College of the Year" by Time Magazine and the Princeton Review...all he had was that and challenging these kids to be the ones to bring back a great and storied program.
You have zero clue.
Laugh at us all you want, maybe it's merited, but it will get fixed, at our own time. The prestige of the university and it's financial strength does not hang on one sport, nor is it the identity we wish to define us. We laugh at you as well...for different reasons.
Admit it, you and others would not give a damn what happens at USC, if Lane had not crapped on your region and coaches by displaying zero respect for you. Can't say as I blame you....but what happened there does not bare one bit of importance to us, losing does. We'll see how it plays out. Stop thinking so highly of yourselves, you have plenty of issues outside FB you should be concerned with.

I'm a Saba fan, but have to say I was disappointed that he said the NFL had too much parity, and that is why he preferred the college game, any other reason than that, I could understand. Also, not willing to take up a challenge to bring back a traditional program back to glory, simply because it takes a ton of effort and PR savvy to do so.
We knew Pete would leave us eventually, we were told to enjoy him while we had him, back in 2007...he is just too competitive to take his previous "fail" in the NFL. At least he never left us to jump into bed with another CFB program.
