Griffey was everything Bonds wanted to be but had to cheat to get to.
Griffey would have ended with 800 hrs and like 12 Golden Gloves and a career batting average over .300

Yea, Griffey's head didn't start to get bigger until he got older and put on some weight. Not good weight, mind you. Weight you put on after being hurt for awhile and inactive.
Bonds and Pujols have heads that don't even look natural on the human body.

Griffey had the sweetest swing ever... left-handed batters usually look smoother, and his was the smoothest.

Harper reaching Griffey status is simply asking too much for the kid. That could be said about any young player.
Honestly, I can see him being a souped-up Jim Edmonds type. He'll have a lengthier peaking period and a little better slugging %.
And I liked Edmonds, so its a compliment to Harper, imo.

There's obviously a lot more media, but the media doesn't force people to act the way they do. Obviously guys can't really "get away" with the stuff they could at one time because of the sheer volume of media coverage. However, the media hasn't forced Harper to act like an entitled prick the past three or four years. He did that all on his own.

I still think one of the 10 best players for a season all time was Ken Griffey at age 27 in 1997. Bryce has that kind of ability.

Not sure if he has the same tools in the outfield as griffey but very talented. One that I have noticed is that he is good at hitting the ball that is up in the zone which many times lefties struggle with
