California vs the rest of the NFL - Who Wins?

  • Why is McCoy not on your list over Gore? Slightly less rush yards, more total yards from scrimmage and higher YPC - his stats would be a bigger bump to the national side by a good bit using the stats you chose to compare. Same goes for Shady over CJ2K. Just curious why you didn't put arguably the 3rd best "national" RB in your comparison.

Foster was born in New Mexico but moved to San Diego and played high school football in San Diego, Ca. The other 5 backs all played in Cali as well.

    Wrong again, fail face.

    I don't get his jive.

Remember the last time Penn State played USC?

Analyzing data and comparing NFL players has a whole lot to do with the 2008 Rose Bowl - good point.

This whole thing is a crap shoot. Who coaches these players? What defense/offense do they run? How do the players gel together?

Pure talent alone or how they play on their individual teams they currently are on is not enough criteria to judge this matter.

For that fact I am throwing random blows. Feel free to join.stir

Apparently, you reference carries over a 3 year time period by 6 players on each side and then cite yards from scrimmage... because, you know, carries and yards from scrimmage correlate perfectly. I always see the stat "Yards from scrimmage per carry". So useful! Did you know that last year, Mike Wallace had 168.6 yards from scrimmage per carry?!?!?!? Dude was all over the field! BEAST!

Haha. I bet it only took NCAA 2 minutes to throw together those teams because he knows every players birthplace and HS from memory. No way he spent another night researching this stuff to bring another stupid thread to us. He's got a life you know.

I did not reference any of that...

  • I like how he went 3 deep at RB for some reason, but only went for 2 WRs.

I didn't say you did. I was using "you" in a generic sense and then made fun of NcaaAsshat for picking two stats that do not correlate to each other.

Ya, I had McCoy on the original list but then I saw he was from Pennsylvania, so he's obviously garbage, he had his 1 or 2 good years.

    cry

Don't you have some shake to do for Barkley, the next USC QB bust in the NFL? Lord knows you are running out of knee pads every time a Cali player gains a yard.

Is this the same school that made Cameron Wake go undrafted and Navorro Bowman late round draft pick almost undrafted.

    Just sad.

Third round = almost undrafted? Not PSU's fault teams passed on him because he got in legal troubles.

PSU 2012 First Team All Pros - 2
USC 2012 First Team All Pros - 0

    Just sad

p.s. there's no reason for you guys to make this a PSU/USC thread. Nobody gives a crap about that.

You said "sorry" implying that I was wrong saying PSU 2 USC 0. I wasn't. You misread that I said "first team." It's ok, it happens.

USC- 14 NFL Hall of Famers, 452 players drafted, and 77 1st round draft picks.

You're right, let's not make this a USC/PSU battle because both fanbases know PSU would get massacred.

Btw, I wasn't trolling, just throwing facts at you and telling it like it is.

Wanna bet on your "no PSU players being drafted this year" statement? I'll make a permanent blue board ban bet on that.

I just wanted to talk football and these teams and every time I posted something about these two fictional teams a USC fan told me I was wrong because I am a PSU fan (as if that has anything to do with what was being discussed).

You all went crazy for no reason and keep bringing up how terrible PSU is when it has nothing to do with what was being discussed.
