Everyone including me seen Cam Newton as the best SEC QB ever seen. Look at these numbers and remember that one QB is a Redshirt Freshman. Johnny Manzial could end up being the best QB the Sec ha ever seen.
Cam Newton in 14 games 66% completion 2854 passing yards 30 TD's 1473 rushing yards 5.58 yards per carry 20 rushing TD's
Johnny Manzial in 10 games (wow) 67% completion 2780 passing yards 18 TD's 1014 rushing yards 6.5 yards per carry 15 rushing TD's
Johnny Football still has 4 games to add to these numbers. As a Redshirt Freshman, he's got a chance to surpass what Cam Newton did statistically. Pretty amazing.

The few rasons why Cam's season was/is more impressive:
-Cam won his first SEC start on the road vs a ranked SEC opponent that finished Top 15
-Cam answered the bell every game, which is why we went undefeated.*7 games vs. ranked opponents: 1,777 total yards, 25 TDs, 2 INTs (ridiculousness).
*Rushed for 150+ yards and 2 TDs in SIX games (FIVE against SEC opponents).
*Rushed for 170+ yards and 2 TDs in FIVE games (FOUR against SEC opponents).
*Rushed for 185+ yards and 2 TDs in THREE games (ALL against SEC opponents).
*Accounted for 400+ total yards and 4+ TDs twice.
*Accounted for 350+ total yards and 4+ TDs four times.
*Accounted for 300+ total yards SEVEN times (299 total yards vs. Georgia).
*Accounted for 5+ TDs in 4 games.
*Accounted for 4+ TDs in 8 games.

As much as I hate Cam, he was an incredible physical specimen, and obviously used it to AU's advantage. I think Manziel is a smarter player, and actually harder to contain for a "pro style" defense. I say that because it was always easy to find Cam with his size, but Manziel has the advantage of a scat back, getting lost behind his line and squirting out. 3rd and 2 was where Cam could kill a great D because of his size. 3rd and 9 is where Manziel is magic. They both have 1 thing in common for their first year with their respective programs: They both have/had a studly offensive line. I don't know if it's fair to make a call just yet, but if I were starting a program from scratch, I think I'd rather have Manziel.
