Sorry but a person that rapes a child deserves to be killed. If my child was raped by an adult they would be dead and I would go to prison for the rest of my life and feel just fine about it. I don't know if you have children or not, but if you don't feel the same way, something is wrong with you.

The reason the death penalty can be applied to murder cases is because there is no chance for victim recovery.

There is a chance for victim recovery in child molestation (which, by the way, is not the same as child rape). Hence, the death penalty doesn't apply.

Please refer to the following Supreme Court case from 2008 which wholeheartedly back me up. Specifically they state:
"There is a distinction between intentional first-degree murder on the one hand and nonhomicide crimes against individual persons."

So, no, there is nothing wrong with me for wanting to rehabilitate sex offenders rather than sanctioning mass executions.
