Can you be a MVP if you cant come through in the 4th quarter

  • Of course, I am talking about Lebron. Dude has 3 MVP's and he is truly great for the first 3 quarters. However, he disappears in the 4th quarter almost every game, especially in the playoffs.

  • Also with his turnovers

  • He is the only reason the Heat have went this far in the playoffs though.

He had 3 TOs this game btw. I don't like LJ but he is hell of a ball player.

  • Oh yeah btw in every game this series except for Rondo's 44 point game he has lead both teams in scoring.

LBJ is the best player in the league, there is no question about that, but down the stretch in close games he usually disappears.

  • Nobody denied he did well in the first two or three quarters. However, I dont even remember him taking many shots in the 4th quarter of this game, especially late in the game. He was mostly just passing off to Wade, Chalmers, or Battier.

I'm not saying that he is always there in the last few minutes. Some of that can be contributed to Wade IMO. He is deserving of his MVP and to this point he has probably put up better numbers in the playoffs than anyone else has on all teams.

Totally agree, but if LBJ wants to start winning some championships he has to close out games. I can't understand how a player as good as him can't score down the stretch.

I seriously think some of has to do with Wade. Other than LJ's last season with the Cavs LJ put that team on his back plenty of times in the 4th. He just had zero help.

But I do agree that LJ needs to say FU Wade it's my time and I will win this game by myself just stay out of the way.

  • Shaq and Kobe have 2 MVP's combined, Nash and LBJ have 5 between the two of them. The MVP award became a joke popularity contest a long time ago so it's hard to blame LeBronze for a regular season award not translating to playoff success.

Bronze is a great player, but he does go MIA at the worst possible times. Some dudes are just meant to be a #2 option/facilitator no matter how much talent that have.

what else do you want? He was dominant in the 4th quarter of the opening two rounds. Hasn't done anything spectacular this series, but hasn't "disappeared"
