I have an affinity for cheap wine. I love expensive wine too, but anyone can go out and buy a good $40+ bottle of wine. Getting something enjoyable for a little of nothing is kind of a hobby of mine. So, what is your go to bottle of wine for <$20? How about <$15?
I found a good New Zealand white tonight.

I like black box. I only like reds and won't typically drink a bottle in a day or two so they're perfect for me.
4 bottles in a vacuum pack that lasts a month and tastes decent is perfect.

if you like shiraz...black opal shiraz is good...also alot of the shiraz/cab blends are good.
I am sure i don't like it as much as you do but I do enjoy picking up the odd wine I've never seen before for $9...although >75% of the time its nothing to remember.

Catena Malbec from Argentina, you can get it for > $20 and is the best wine under 20 that I've ever had. Personally not a big enough wine guy to spend much more than 20 dollars on a bottle at this point, and don't have an extensive list.

2007 Conn Creek Cab Sauvignon. $20 and it's a great Cabernet. Also for $18 I suggest Robert Mondavi 09 cabernet.

Jacob's Creek Chardonnay. It is $7 at Publix in Mountain Brook. It tastes damn good plus it has a twist off cap I can put back on the bottle so i can toss it under my seat if I get pulled over while I'm drinking it.

will try and get some rec today - have a friend that collects wine from all over the world ( usually expensive ) and he usually turns me onto some amazingly inexpensive bottles of wine when he comes across deals ...great guy and the wine has always been off the charts great

I recommend a very chilled Dr Loosen Reisling - $8.99 with sushi on a hot day. Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc -$16.99 & White Haven Sauvignon Blanc $13.99 are lady killers.
