Chickfila President says Company opposes gay marriage

If you all can't understand the difference between a medical problem hindering childbirth and the fact that two women or two men having sex can't result in childbirth, then i don't know what to tell ya.

I've already explained that if that's the case then you are discriminating against homosexuals.

Okay, so what do all these nauseating examples of religious doctrine have to do with civil rights and public policy?

Nothing really...Just pointing out the people who wrongly accuse Christians of hating gay people. It's not about that. As I have stated throughout this thread, It's about how Christians view MARRIAGE...plain and simple. It has nothing to do about hating gay people, as most uninformed people think it is.

So a Christian man, who I have met several times not only talks but walks his Christians values and people are upset? Mr Kathy believes in the teaching of Christ. If some of you do not like it, there are many many other places to spend your money. I hold him in high regards that he does not buckle to society.

7:1 Now, to deal with the matters you wrote about. A man does well not to marry. 7:2 But because there is so much immorality, every man should have his own wife, and every woman should have her own husband. 7:3 A man should fulfill his duty as a husband, and a woman should fulfill her duty as a wife, and each should satisfy the other's needs. 7:4 A wife is not the master of her own body, but her husband is; in the same way a husband is not the master of his own body, but his wife is.

Notice the bible says Woman and Man? Not Man and Man or Woman and Woman?

Let me get ahead of the crowd. You're entitled to your own beliefs, unless they are based on the bible, then those that don't believe in the bible may find them offensive, and therefore you should not believe that way. What you do is one issue, but what you believe and think is entirely another if it is in any way tied into that Jesus Christian stuff.

Seriously, do those that continually mock and ridicule Christianity do so knowing how offensive it would be to our beloved President, or do so knowing that he could not care less about the Christian religion. Just food for thought. Carry on.

I can't remember if it was you or another poster, but it was stated that marriage is for procreation and since homosexuals can't procreate then they shouldn't get married.

So why can heterosexuals who physically can't procreate or choose not to have kids still get married?

    From the bible:
If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads

    Also from the bible...

For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.

If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife —with the wife of his neighbor—both the adulterer and the adulteress are to be put to death

And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness, and shall uncover her nakedness; he hath discovered her fountain, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among their people

It's not just about pro-creation. It's a part of it. Each party must be open to pro-creation between the married couple. Whether or not they are able to pro-create is up to God. But the couple must be willing to be open to pro-creation. And also, the whole marriage being a man and a women thing is another big part of it.

(this is the Catholic view, btw. I'm not sure about Baptists, etc.)

Of course. I'm just suggesting that the bible can be infinitely mockable. And pointing to things within it, with absolute certainty, as if it represents the actual word of god is, hate to tell you, absurd. No need to take it from me, ask any theologian, or any credible religious academic... They will tell you the same.

Mixing your crops is also an abomination. As is wearing more than one type of fabric at the same time.

You do know that if gay marriage is legalized, then Catholic Churches wouldn't have to perform gay marriages anyways?
