Second year in a row Chipper has turned down the NFL. I think the GMs in the league have watched his antics. He loves being pursued; hearing his name associated with XXX and YYY and the attention. JMO, he won't get many more opportunities to be a head coach in the NFL. You turn down opportunities two years in a row after being interviewed - some will think you aren't serious about making the move.

This is ridiculous. The entire "will he or won't he leave" drama was 100% conflated by the media. Antics? The guy never once talked about it other than to say he would listen to offers. He loves being pursued? Who doesn't? As long as he keeps winning there will always be opportunities for him at the next level. Maybe Cleveland/Tampa Bay would have reservations, but I'm going to go out on a limb and presume he could give two fvcks.
Pete Carroll went through this practically every year he was at SC. Now he's probably going to hoist the Lombardi. Memories are short. Winning is all that matters.
