That was his issue in a nut shell. He had zero concept of what he was position-wise. I've seen so many players cost themselves that way.

I find it interesting when kids practically demand to play at a certain position.

Not only are they just dismissing advice from people who generally know what they're doing, they're possibly forgoing a lot of money. That's great if you get to play the position you love, but if you could have been an elite player at a different position (one you may not like as much), why wouldn't you do that?

Then again, I should expect by now that high schoolers just are rarely going to make appropriate decisions.
