***Class of 2013 bucks trends (Top247 released)***

Looking at the Top247 for the 2013 recruiting cycle, you will find that this particular class does not feature many of the normal trends in recruiting.

Thanks JC, good looking list. Any indication who maybe leading for Marcell Harris and Laremy tunsil?

I think Florida State may be the team to beat for Tunsil but it's early. He doesn't plan to make a decision until signing day 2013. A lot of things can happen from now until then.

  • Looks like its another down year in the state of SC. Good thing we have decided to go hard in NC for 2013.

  • Love it, nice to look at

My first prediction is Greg Bryant will do nothing but climb from now to his nsd

Just a question but what is keeping him from transferring to a STA for his senior year ?

  • I think Zaire is a five star. Also, I'm going to be very disappointed if Cam Burrows leaves the state.

  • great list....nice to see Dee Liner up there. He's a beast. What a DL class AU could have if we can wrap up Kenny Bigelow to go with him!

  • Los, I know you remember Marcell's dad, Mud. Played DB for Spurrier in the 90s.

Definitely feel like Lareny's cousin, Timmy, choosing FSU swung the pendulum in sow's favor. And his HC is a former player as well. Nole.

I remember Mud cant believe i didnt know that was his son. We REALLY need Tunsil

You guys have Dymonte Thomas as a RB, he is projected to play Safety at Michigan. Do you see more upside at thr RB position for him?

  • FSU may end up landing two Juco OTs in this class which would really set us up beautifully to land two of the top 3-5 OTs in the Southeast next year in Tunsil and Gholson.

His dad coaches at AH-Delray. I know some have made the commute from Boca Raton to STA, but it's far and Delray is a bit further.

Also, Bryant's coach does a good job loading up his non-district schedule each year with tough teams to prepare them for the playoffs. Glades Central, Manatee & cross town Atlantic who is 7A this season. So he does get to face better competition than most in his classification.

  • It looks like there are two Ohio State locks in the top five.

    Not bad.

  • If Georgia could lock down their home grown talent. It's amazing how many of the kids go elsewhere.

How do y'all feel about the Dillon boys?

I hope Mangus can bring in some more of the NJ talent for next cycle. Must have been 10 guys from there.

He should've been a safety. It looks right now. I don't know if someone changed it since you posted this but we are projecting him at safety as well.

  • JC, do u think with the season that UGA is having and the showing of how many true freshman that have played this yr, would Nkimdeche and Foster consider the dawgs?the dawgs are on the way back to the top of the SEC again. Go dawgs!!!

I hope you aren't at it again with this lock stuff. I'll admit you guys are in great position with Smith and Kimbrough, but from what I've heard we are leading for Marshall. Unless there is another prospect in the top 5 you are leading for?

Of course you are, Kelly is lying to him and telling him that he will play QB for the Irish.

He'll wise up and choose the home state team when it's all said and done.

I think you guys could land all 3. I believe we are only planning on take one, maybe two RB's in 2013. I would have to ask Paul to be sure, but I believe the coaching staff is higher on Tyshon Dye and Marquez Grayson than Jabo.

As far as King and Park, I couldn't even begin to guess. I think both of them may have grown up as Carolina fans, but I don't think that will really affect their decision that much. I know we are in their lead group, but a lot can happen between now and NSD in 2013.

The coaching staff is investing a lot of time in NC for 2013 because SC just doesn't have as many good prospects as it normally does.

What are y'all hearing on Dillon?

  • Do you see Derrick Griffin sticking with football? Or do you think he'll switch to basketball, or will he possibly play both? I've heard that some schools, not sure which ones, but I would presume Baylor at least, that have pitched him playing both sports in college.

No problem. The Michigan boys will help keep you in line.

I saw where Marshall said ND leads right after his visit but it looks like the visit wore off he said ND and OSU were even again about a week ago. I think he eventually he ends up at OSU because he has said multiple times that being close to home will be a huge factor but ND also won't go away easily JMO.

  • Bama will sign the top two.

  • Nkimdeches top two are BAMA and LSU two schools that play completely different defenses. What type of D does he currently play in and which defense is he a better fit for 3-4 or 4-3? Why did Michael Hutchings drop to a 4* already? Is it another down year in the state of LA? How good is the state of Ohio this year? Are LA and OH deeper in "13" than they are in "12"? What position do you see Jake Butt playing in college and does he have a current leader? Is it safe to assume Steven Elmer will be a 5* before its all said and done? What separates him from Laremy Tunsil?
