  • BAMA looks like it will land another top 3 class, with RF and RN leading the way. Didn't think OH would be that high but I hear he's a outstanding athlete. RTR!biggrin

I think you guys could land all 3. I believe we are only planning on take one, maybe two RB's in 2013. I would have to ask Paul to be sure, but I believe the coaching staff is higher on Tyshon Dye and Marquez Grayson than Jabo.

As far as King and Park, I couldn't even begin to guess. I think both of them may have grown up as Carolina fans, but I don't think that will really affect their decision that much. I know we are in their lead group, but a lot can happen between now and NSD in 2013.

The coaching staff is investing a lot of time in NC for 2013 because SC just doesn't have as many good prospects as it normally does.

What are y'all hearing on Dillon?

Not sure about Lee he is still doesn't have an offer and we had a few out to RBs on that list.

I think we like where we are at with the OL from Dillon but a lot can happen. No idea what type of timeframe they are on.

Current MSU LB TyQuan Hammock is from Bishop Leurs in Ft. Wayne, a powerhouse IN school (I grew up in Ft. Wayne, they're a strong school). Any early word on the Spartans and Jaylon Smith?

Well MSU may have TyQuan Hammock, but OSU has Roderick Smith who happens to be Jaylon's brother. I am also originally from Fort Wayne and had the pleasure of playing football against TyQuan since the 7th grade.

  • Are you serious? No Will Likely III from Glades Central High School.. I see plenty of corners on there not better than this kid. Come on 247 Sports you guys are one of the best sites and you guys don't got him on the list. He's only leading Glades Central a team thats destroying South Florida Football right now

They've offered and Jaylon says he's interested, but in my opinion, I think the Spartans currently trail places like Ohio State and Notre Dame.

Umm, you might want to take those QB's off the list. Two FR playing this year and two more coming in next year, good luck with that!

Nkimdeches top two are BAMA and LSU two schools that play completely different defenses. What type of D does he currently play in and which defense is he a better fit for 3-4 or 4-3? Why did Michael Hutchings drop to a 4* already? Is it another down year in the state of LA? How good is the state of Ohio this year? Are LA and OH deeper in "13" than they are in "12"? What position do you see Jake Butt playing in college and does he have a current leader? Is it safe to assume Steven Elmer will be a 5* before its all said and done? What separates him from Laremy Tunsil?

    shrug I want some answers...

He hasn't had the junior year we would've liked to see. Still very good and very highly rated but not ready to call him a 5-star and a Top 10 player in the country right now.

  • Glad to see that a kid that wasn't on the Initial 2013 Watch List [back in August/September] has been ranked in Tyren Jones (#84 overall, and #6 in Georgia) of Walton High School here in Marietta. Jones has over 1600 yards and 24 TDs (23 rushing, 1 receiving) for 10-0 Walton as they prep to play in the Georgia AAAAA 1st Round of the Playoffs.

I'm also a big fan of your #1 rated RB, Thomas Tyner. Tyner has the ELITE measureables in terms of size & speed.......but IMHO, Tyren Jones is a better "Running Back". Perhaps Jones is penalized a bit due to his size as he's currently about 5'9", 190-195....but Mark Ingram was about the same size as a high school senior and NFLers Maurice Jones and Ray Rice are actually shorter. Jones will probably play in college at around 210-215....which is comparable size to what Emmitt Smith played at in the NFL and Mark Ingram when he won the Heisman.

Jabrill Peppers...More I watch, the more I'm convinced he is the best player in the 2014 class. Barring injury, he will do special things.

Nkemdiche's HC is a former Alabama player too. That cannot be discounted as lots of former UA players send their kids to Bama.

What is it that is keeping Trey Johnson from being ranked higher. Kid is literally dominating the toughest FB class in GA at LB? Second only to Foster IMO. Just curious. Johnson finished his junior season with 164 tackles, 25 tackles-for-loss, four forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries and six sacks in 10 games (averaged 16.5 tackles per game). *stats copied from BM/AUC

  • JC or Barton, after comparing Thomas Tyner's film sophomore to junior year what has stuck out, what's changed, what has he improved on, what still needs some work? Some say they have never seen him run harder since coming back from injury. Thanks.

CNS is gonna use 3 scholly's on kickers? You have 2 on scholarship that will be back next year, right?

The kicker Bama is signing this year looks pretty damn good.

You going off the sophomore film on 247sports, or have you seen Tyner's junior film? I think you'll see a difference. No doubt he was a little raw last year, just like in track his freshman year, had really bad running mechanics, his PR is 10.35 right now with two track seasons to go.

  • Great that 247 released this so early. Nkemdiche is a no-brainer at #1 and a 103 rating... IMO he has 105 potential.

Foster is no doubt the #1 LB, but I think a 102 is a little high, e.g., greater FB talent/more dominant than anyone in the 2012 class (e.g., Jamies Winston, Mario Edwards Jr, etc.) That's a strong claim, but I could be wrong.
