Clemson takes 3 star CB from Nkemdiche's school.....

  • aumajorpain said...

They get them camaros... Bama style, but not chargers. The problem is, Bama hooks the family up and Clemson only can afford the car.

    Dabo being Dabo

If we could get you guys to teach us how to launder cash through non-profits, it would be much less obvious.

  • It's definitely going to be a tie between Carolina and Bama for the biggest meltdown.

that's two teammates. Dabo's going to melt brains and land him.

The more Talent like him the ACC the better for the ACC . SO even as a Maryland fan, i hope Clemson gets him.

It may bring out some lurkers, but the regulars will be kind of shrug.

  • Well, if he goes to Clemson, then he knows he will never win anything big. Even Clemson fans (that I know) admit that Dabo is limited in potential. Without kelly, he is unemployed right now. Clemson will still be Clemson, with or without Nkemdiche.

    WRobins

  • Tigernet poster claiming Watkins texted him Nkemdiche committed. Sounds believable.

    PTCcock195

  • Kamara's closer to 5'8 than 5'11. Seen a couple of his games, very stiff in hips at times. Hopefully he doesn't get processed if Nckemdiche doesn't sign with them.

just because watkins is a natural doesn't mean a 5* DT will succeed at clemson where the rest of your 5 star recruits have been pretty damn meh overall.

    Bellamy obviously.

DQB had 3 total sacks his first two seasons. He played up to potential in a contract year in which Clemson went 6-7. He hardly had an affect on your program at all.

Jury is definitely still out on Steward and Anthony.

So we've had one 5 star not pan out, and by not pan out, i mean transferr to another school.

Boy, our track record is terrible.

For what its worth, the poster who made that comment said they were "meh". All four of those certainly qualify as such. Also I left out Ricky Sapp, he was a 5 star by some services if I remember correctly.

Watkins is the only one who has really lit it up.

  • Also, what tangible benefit did DQB bring to Clemson? The man had one good season and led Clemson to a loss in the Meineke Car Care Bowl. Yippee.

At least he was a top five pick though. Wait.

  • justified or not I think we all can agree the expectations of a 5 star are pretty lofty. The baseline is min of 3 years of significant contribution to the program.

Ask any NORMAL UGA fan. They will tell you that they believe, if they had to bet their wife, house, car, that RN is going to Bama.

They have conceded him to us, even though, they know that its not over till Feb something?

Guys, guys, guys: Is this what recruiting has gotten too? Recruit a lesser player just to get the star on the team? Look at Cal offering Zach Maynard to get Keenan Allen 5 star away from Bama. Their have been others that have hurt other schools, maybe your school in the past. Yall probably know certain ones, as a bama fan, we all remember the handler bullshit with Cal and Keenan!

I just hope Robert is bigger than all this attention and sees thru the bullshit and goes where he has hinted toward going for a while now!

People say the 3-4 isn't for him and LSU's 4-3 is. We are talking about a stud who can play any position out there so your saying that if he does Bama's 3-4, that wont make him ready or good enough to get drafted high by the NFL. He has the potential to be a 1st rounder, especially with Bama's coaches. You guys need to understand something:

All of this crap is happening cuz very few, if any, can keep up with the relentless pace that Saban and Bama have put on recruiting and the level that they are recruiting at.

The team around him sucked ass. If you put Clowney on Rutgers' team, they would go 12-0, amirite?

It's just a tired argument when Carolina fans use the old homage: "Clemson is where 5 stars go to die", because it's simply not true. Now if you want to argue that we don't do a good job of developing 3 star OL/DL into superstars, our head coach is a moron, and our S&C program is a joke, I won't argue.

I think most Carolina fans get so mad when we land a OOS 5 star, because they simply don't have the capability to do it.

You may think/hope that, but the guys who run Clemson's site on that network would know more about things in Clemson than just about anyone outside of Dabo.

For Bama's sake no news is not good news. They may want to keep it quiet until it's most opportune to go public.

Clemson has had some good 5 stars (Spiller, Watkins), but they've relative duds as well.

I just find the concept mind boggling. I am not sure what elite OOS recruits see in Clemson to be honest. I've been there several times - its a nice town. But it is nothing that has ever wowed me.

If I am an elite Florida player I am going to UF/FSU or an elite national power (Michigan, So Cal, Alabama, LSU, whatever)
