  • I think Muschamp at least deserves a mention. He is 8-1 with a terrible offense.

I like BOB as well. I thought about going with Pelini too, since he will have a chance to win the B1G, but it could have been very easy for Meyer to have lost 3 or 4 games this year with how poorly the defense has played at times. He held things together very well, IMO. Still could lose these last 2 and that could change every thing, but I think they outscore Michigan. Wisky will be tough on the road though.

Would be commical to see tOSU and Penn St win out and have the 3rd place team in the division playing for the B1G title.

Definitely. Beat FSU and I think it is 50/50.

The job BOB has done, on and off the field has been impressive. I would give him the nod for the B1G.

Not sure why he has to beat FSU to make it 50/50. Sumlin has only beat Bama this year. He lost to every other good team he has played.

  • I think if Vandy can go out and beat Tennessee and Wake Forest you have to give James Franklin and Sumlin a tie for SEC CotY. Obviously Sumlin has made A&M a player in the SEC much earlier than we all thought, but if Vandy makes it to 8 wins, it'll be the first time since 1982 that they've done so. That's 30 years for those of you playing the home game. If he manages to win the bowl game and make it a 9 win season, that'll be the first time they've seen 9 wins since 1915. Not bad for the school we only keep around to boost the conference's GPA. lol

Corch Urbz had it easy compared to what BOB went through. I think Urbz wins it, but I would vote for BOB.

    ACC- David Cutcliffe
Big 12- Bill Snyder (National COTY IMO)
    Big East- Kyle Flood
Big Ten- BOB (He walked in to a lot and you have to respect what he did)
    PAC 12- Jim Mora Jr
SEC- Kevin Sumlin (I think most people thought Mizzou would be the better out of the two the first year. We were wrong)

Urbie will never win it with two losses. BOB is the right choice.

Perception. It's the same reason a coach like Nick Saban or Les Miles probably never really has a shot at the award. Sumlin if the hot name right now and if they do get a BCS bowl, I just think he is the guy. Coach of the Year awards don't mean anything anymore really.

Perception is UF>>>>>aTm so Sumlin must be doing a better job.

If both are losses, then you would be right. Even with 1, it could go to BOB or maybe even Pelini if they win in Indy.

I agree. Forget Johnny Football for a minute. I think most of us underestimated what have 2 Offensive Tackles of the caliber of aTm's would mean as well.

Agree. Vandy is going to a bowl game for the 2nd year in a row, and has a top 25 recruiting class at the moment. Both of those are monumental achievements at Vandy.

It's Sumlins first year. Muschamp has been there for two years and that makes a big difference. He's also had to bring along a freshman QB and had to make the switch from a Pro Style offense to a spread on offense and from a 3-4 defense to a 4-3.

6-6 team last year to a probable 10 win season in his first year as HC, in the SEC west.

Also- Muschamp having a terrible offense shouldnt be some kind of scape-goat. He's the HC, he's responsible for the entire team and putting together a coaching staff. That includes offensive coordinator and offensive position coaches. Florida isnt without talent on that side of the ball. If they are terrible on one side of the ball, it starts with the HC.

Honestly, if Florida and A&M lined up again tomorrow, I'm not sure that A&M doesnt win that game.

Cause Hoke had how many losses last year?

  • COY in the B1G is not a big deal. I hope Urban doesn't win to keep the streak going last OSU coach to win it Earl Bruce 1979. Tressel never won it even winning the NC in 2003. Instead it went to John Smith with an amazing 8-5 record. BoB has done a fine job I would not be mad if he won it.

Yeah, gotta assume BOB for the BIG given OSU's track record with winning the COY.

I'd say Kelly out west. Mora, if he loses to SC like expected, has been just ok.
