Honestly if you look at their schedule, outside of USCe there isn't a lot there. I don't even think UGA could screw that up by losing more than 2 games max.

I think we would beat USC by about 10-14. I think LSU should be #1, Bama #2 but it really doesn't matter.
UGA is too high but their schedule will make that preseason ranking look about right.

That's the thing though. They play 2 teams in that ranking, one of which wouldn't be there without reputation, and they lost to every team they played in that ranking last year except said team who probably shouldn't be there.
I understand they'll most likely win 10-11 regular season games and the ranking is taking that into account, but the ranking's not taking into account why they'll win 10-11 regular season games.

Ohio State cant be ranked in coaches or BCS this year right? Surprised they even put them on here.
I dont know if I would have Texas in preseason..but for sure they make it in during the year. Nebraska will be better than Wisconsin(new coaches all over) and Mich State. Needs to be more than 3 Pac12 but i dont know who it would be. Bump out OSU and move everyone else up a spot- put UVA at 25 imo

I agree with you but they are still the favorite to make it to Atlanta to be waxed by Bama or LSU, due to a lot of talent coming back and a weak schedule by SEC standards. Even if USCe beats them I would still think they are the favorite.

Don't disagree. We go to Baton Rouge and I will always count Arky as a loss until I see otherwise. Mizzou is probably the closest thing to a potential loss for them after us because of the suspensions in the secondary and it's on the road. Other than that it would take a collapse, catastrophic injury, or an opponent playing their best game of the year.
I just don't like ranking based on win totals with a weak schedule. If we had their schedule I'd be giddy, but also detract from our ranking. Plus, most polls actually account for how team's finish the previous year which this one clearly doesn't for UGA.
