Congrats Florida.....

  • you now have the softest commit in America in T. Valentine. lol. Seriously, no flame. I'm commiserating with you here. I just love when FSU gets a commit and you know that our best chance to sign the kid is if he flips to someone else and then flips back to FSU. lol

  • Better to try and hold onto him than to flip him or fight for his commitment is my stance.

Always depends on the kid. There have been recruits in the past that when they committed to a school more than 6 months out from NSD everyone agreed that school was all but eliminated. Not making a prediction on this one, but the kid is obviously a fish out of water.

That is my opinion to but we shall see. I am definitely having a hard time getting excited for this one.

  • I have a feeling this kid will commit a few more times to other schools before he signs. Hell he has already commited twice before his juinior year

  • Well Florida is loaded next year when it comes to DT's with this guy Khairi Clark, Demarcus Christmas, and Anthony Moten who could be a DT should fun to see how it plays out.

    In that case, he's solid.

Clark and Moten will be Canes, IMO. Would love to land Christmas to go along with Valentine.

You really can't predict anyone to Miami right now. We have Adrian Baker, Khairi's teammate and friend, committed and he likes us as well.

FSU will really put on a show at DT this year and then go into 2014 needing 3. We'll do well.

I feel you. But you know how those SoFla kids can be irrational in regards to Miami. From everything I've read about them, those two fit that mold. There's a poster on our board who goes to school with Baker/Clark & he's always saying how Clark is all Miami no matter what. But.. There's a long way to go and there are very few locks in recruiting.

  • Is FSU talking any DT's this year and what happened to Senat I heard he might go to USF.

We haven't gotten any sound info on Senat. He loves FSU so a commitment to USF would likely reveal our stance on him just to be honest. I think as of right now, and this is just a guess, FSU is warming up to just taking one this year and we prefer Bryant over Senat so we will try and see if we can't finagle that into happening. Obviously Bryant currently states he is solid to Miami.

Dont try to ruin this thread. I have had numerous outright compliments for Florida this month.

Valentine is a mid to high four star, great pickup. A commitment is a commitment. I wouldn't have minded one.

There are people here old enough to discuss reality though as well. And there's nothing I could possibly be mad at UF about right now.

He might say he is solid until he visits another school and starts to love that school. This kid is one those kids who commits to mutiple schools before he finally signs with one. Also their is a poster on our board who says he has grade problems right now.

  • 37th in the nation isn't mid to high four star.. Its really high four star. Either way, that isn't the point. The "compliment" is always followed by some backhanded undertone. You're always breaking some UF news before an actual Gator fan does.. If its not mad, its obsessed.. Either way it makes you look like a duck. Is what it is.. I'm out.

We have heard about some possible grade issues as well. He has plenty of time to get that sorted out.

Like I said I am apprehensive about this commit but I would rather him be committed to us as opposed to him being committed elsewhere.

Do you really think I am talking about him, because he is not the one who was talking about the grade issues. It was another poster who knows the kid.

No, I know you weren't talking about fsufsu. But, what he said was true.

Grades are always important, but come on. Any school thats done anything in football, runs into many, many kids like this every yr., and he has 2 yrs to get it right.

If the kid wants to play D1 football, he will listen to the coaches trying to get him there.
