Went to the local pound today and looked at dogs today, you're right, DON'T BRING YOUR WIFE!
No I did not lose a sig bet, but I am really really really ridiculously good looking.
Lulz. Those little pricks
It ain't easy owning a dog, but it sure is fun. I wouldn't give up my guy for anything.
My wife & I have literally spent like 4 hours this afternoon looking online at all the shelters.. Definitely want to save one now after looking at all these. Found some cool mixes but a lot have issues with kids. Looking like a Lab might win out. I know it will be a good dog but still have my doubts. 2 puppies my wife like are:
Golden is better then Jimbo... I feared it was true. He is going to hoist a crystal ball there - fsufsu
Also liked this one but it's in Miami.
The one on the left has Lab, Collie & Golden Retriever in it.. Said it's an awesome dog. The smaller black one is mostly lab with a little GDane in it. Gonna be big probably. (Top 10 family dog on most sites though) Yellow Lab looks like it has a little cur in it but it just said Lab mix.
If you have it from a puppy you'll love it regardless. And you'll feel good about yourself every time you tell people its a rescue
Lamp here's some of the ones i was liked today. If i was in my new place already the third dog would have went home with me. Super relaxed and chill dog.

All 3 look great. That's my biggest problem with going to one, I feel like I'd take them home and find a place for them later.
Nah, but you get to handle them a lot and see how they act. You could see how they would be with your daugher and how they act on a leash as well.
If we don't go the puppy route I will be sure to do that.
Go without the wife if you go, the one i went to had a bunch of puppies as well. I'm just at a point i don't want to deal with one. You should get a pup to grow up with your daughter
That's what I'm thinking.
Not sure if it's been said but American Bulldogs are great. A bit hyper as puppies but once they get past that mouthy/hyper stage they're awesome dogs. Super loyal and protective, (not territorially so) but they are real chill and laid back and always want to be next to you. Great with kids to. Never had an issue with my daughter with either of mine. Around my area, at least when we were looking for a dog, there were a lot in shelters if you wanted to go Willie's route and be a hero.
. Do the insurance company's consider American Bulldogs and Pit Bulls the same thing?
Probably not, being different dogs and all.
edit: My bad came off snarky. Been dealing with our next door neighbors shreiking in fright at the mere sight of our dogs lately.

i know that, but i read this "In a few parts of the world, the American Bulldog is also classified as a "Pit Bull-type" dog, despite its major genetic differences." and was curious.
See the edit.
it should be legal to punch neighbors twice a year IMO, or maybe once a month
No shit. They got this fvcking tiny yappy dog and though my dogs love other dogs I'm sure they seem like full on mouth frothing cannibals to people who don't have experience with large dogs.
