It's a shame this will now be on his record for the rest of his life. The dickhead cop could have called someone to come get him.
In fact, he was "charged with drunk driving" but hasn't went to court yet so technically, he hasn't done either or yet. Judge may knock it down to a wreckless driving so he wasnt doing anything yet.

So if im 20 years and 364 days old, and i take a sip of beer and drive home im drunk driving? Nope. This will be easliy talked down to reckless driving and he will go to driving school for a few hours...
Look, if he wants to follow the letter of the law then he's wrong all together. He was charged. He hasn't been convicted of anything yet.
Yep..and he will not be charged with a DUI so the end result will be the same.
If he has a good lawyer he can get it knocked down to wreckless driving. He has drunk driving and got caught, deal with it and move on. You can try and spin this anyway you want but he was drunk driving. Also, taking a sip of beer does not put you over the legal limit. Nice try though
Hasn't been found guilty of anything yet. Maybe you should deal with that.
Seriously bammers quit saying .02. What did he blow?
What was his BAC? You know, if you are underage you get a DUI for blowing anything on the test. I'm not exactly sure that makes him a dangerous murderer lol.
Sounds like business as usual with shorty Saban and UAT.
If I was a fan of a program that did things the right way, I'd be really upset right now.
Georgia's K will probably be missing 2 games for a BUI (much less severe than a dui), he blowed less than a .08
Our first two games are @Clemson and vs. SCar. He will be back for the North Texas game.
If he blew less than .08 and gets stuck with a BUI/DUI he has a very shitty lawyer. Sounds like a personal problem.
Good to know real discipline still exists somewhere in the $EC. Not like the win-at-all-costs mentality in Tuscaloosa.
doesn't matter the charges it matters what he did
Crowell got kicked off the team... all charges dropped. Legally he never did a thing. In reality, he was driving around with a stolen gun with scratched serials.
At the age of 20 it does mean you are illegally drinking...
Also to blow a .04 is like 1 beer....That is like 3 advil. Laws are laws, but use some common sense.
I know I sound like sour grapes, but I'm really not. I just don't want to here justification for this. I'd prefer if we handled these thing exactly as Saban does, but to make excuses for it is silly.
I say own it, don't care, and win NC's.
Well if you want to spin it this way then, in the eyes of the law, a BUI/DUI are the same. One is not worse than the other.
From what i have heard it was a .04
It won't if Tuscaloosa has some form of deferred prosecution.
complete community service, pay fines, go to classes, etc. Then charge is taken off and never goes to your record.
10 Major Poll National Titles (CFB record)
35 Bowl Wins (CFB record)
72 Wins over last 6 years (CFB record)
Not the point, but it's more like .02 for the average person
It will always show as "null processed"
0.04 = 3 beers
A cop could literally pull over 90% of the cars on the ttown strip after 11 pm and give out 0.04 DUI's left and right
Sure, I just laugh when these things turn into dick measuring threads.
it will show on his arrest record, yes.
So many innocent lives have been taken by the reckless underage BUI jet ski driver.
But, technically you're right. It gets treated the same as a DUI for UGA which would not be just a game.
