Ohhh that year. I was under the impression we where talking about the following year
Sure, because obviously the stats will support who had the better college players.
God, give me patience today. If given strength I may beat someone to death.
Miami 2000 Defense gave up 15.83 ppg
Bama Defense gave up 8.15 ppg

Lol....Miami had alot of NFL talent on that team, but Bama will too by the time it is over. We know for sure Bama will have had 1st rounders at:
Both CBs (Dre and Milliner)
2 LBs (Hightower and Mosely)
DL- Upshaw just missed. We will see about Jesse in a few months.
Just a ton of talent. That, coupled with the dominant season long stats to go along with the most dominating defensive NC performance ever, makes them the GOAT imo.
I thought we where comparing the national championship D. So we are comparing a NC D to a non?
See the locked thread. 2000 is the year he wanted to compare
That next year doesn't bode well either for your arguments
Give me the stat for plays per game.
Where are you getting this data?
You get out of it what you put into it!
In 2000 Miami played 4 ranked teams
'11 Bama played 6
Are you trying to prove that UM couldn't get off the field on 3rd down better or something?
00 i said overall team not strictly D but our 01 defense is better than your 11 defense. AGain Stats are overrated b/c what you do against half the sched crappy competetion means nothing.
If you're asking about the records
Miami went 3-1 losing to #15 Washington
Bama went 5-1 losing to #1 LSU
Are you arguing against your teams piss poor schedule now?
Oh ok. No doubt both have a great selection of talent. 2000 Miami would win a game though .
Coolstorybro gets his data from another planet IIRC
Any defense with Ed Reed is the one Im taking every time, though I would prefer Bama's defensive guys played more years in the NFL before its fair to compare these 2
I'd take the 2013 Noles defense over both.... combined.... however
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
Ha....01 UM isn't even in the discussion.
Hook is set.....
Nope. I really don't even care about this. Everyone knows the 01 team is the GOAT anyways.
Its a part of the title, its certainly in the discussion
You really need to start proofreading your posts before hitting post
I gurantee you can't name half of 01 UM's players on defense..
Lol. You are crazy but still 1 of my favorite posters here. You say what you feel and I like that.
Also, Miami 2001 data gives me 3.93 yards per play.
How many 1st round draft picks were on the 2001 Miami (total) Defense? backups and all.
In a few years we can look and compare that. We dont know the level of talent yet for the 2011 defense in the NFL as they are all rookies.
Give me the defense coached by saban, not the one coached by Randy Shannon
