We rotate RBs to much and he runs to high. Yeah Adrian Peterson runs to high but he's not AP. he could possibly come back and more than likely will unless he really blows up. But Christian Jones and Cameron Erving are our best chances. I don't know why Stork is showing up on all these mock drafts. The guy gets pushed around all the time by elite dt
Not a problem. You may be thinking of landen Collins. Hes running with the 2's right now but hopefully he will be the other starting safety come fall.
Aj has a lot bigger arm than a lot of people think. Hes no brett favre, but he can make every throw on the field and is getting more accurate as his career goes on.
"Hopefully he will be the other starting safety"
Not high on Vinnie Sunseri? I thought he was a playmaker for you guys?
I mean he's a good player, but hes not on the level of collins athletically. Hes a player who understands the defense insode and out and plays with heart, but if collins can get the learn the ins and outs of our defense it will take our secondary to another level. Collins has first round talent while vinnie will he lucky to get a shot as an undrafted free agent in the nfl.
Vinnie struggles in coverage and there is no way he can play S in the NFL. He is a tweener, that can stop the run from the S spot and cover TEs, but he is limited by his quickness. He is a playmaker for us in certain packages but he is a LB playing S
Thanks for the info. I was under the assumption Sunseri was going to be your next starting SS, and a future NFL draft pick. You, of course, watch more Bama games than me, though. Speaking of SS, I posted in the undrafted free agent thread that I was surprised Robert Lester was not drafted. I thought he was an All-SEC player two seasons ago?
Hopefully you're right about Pendergast's D fitting Kennard's style of play, because IMO, Kennard would have to show a lot to even be a day 2 draft pick. He just hasn't been that good, after being a former 5-star recruit.
He was. He has regressed for some reason. This season he was not very good in coverage and according to reports he had the worst senior bowl practices of any player in attendance. I think he benefited from playing next to mark barron for a few years. He's a solid player as long as you surround him with talent, but when he needs to be the guy some of his weakeness show.
AJs arm is equal to John Parker Wilson in strength. He has shown he can throw on any DB and can make all the throws. He can throw in to a spot like no other. He needs to work on the back shoulder throw but we rarely use it. AJ has the best accuracy of any QB in the NCAA though and he is very smart with his throws. He will not blow ur socks of with his arm, but what he does in the pocket and his accuracy will put him at the 2-3rd best QB in the draft. Teddy will have the most upside, and Manziel will go to a team that wants to run the offense that fits him.
Brad Roby will be a first rounder if he stays healthy. Ryan Shazier has the chance to play himself into the first round with another big season.
I think AJ has a legit shot (although he recently measured 6'2 1/4" (6'2 2/8" via NFL Draft nomenclature) but I don't think any QB gets bumped up due to Pro Day as the throws are scripted by QB Coach & QB, QB throwing to his WRs, against no defense. Most guys go 58-60 on Pro Days with 1 bad throw and 1 dropped pass.
-Agree, CJ should be top LB next year and if he runs 4.55-4.60 he could go top 10

Manziel will be eligible due to be a redshirt sophomore
There's gonna be a lot of fifth rounders listed in this thread lol.
Timmy Jernigan and Christian Jones are probably our chances. Jones has proven everything except pass rushing and that's the major plan for him under Pruitt.
Allen Robinson at this point is the only potential first rounder for 2014. Will almost certainly depend on his 40 time, though.
Don't disgrace this thread with his name.
Damn, those lists are awful. Clint Trickett?
Jackson Jeffcoat and maybe Quandre Diggs if he shows he can play FS.
Please, do you seriously think a 5'11 QB will be top 5? Or first round for that matter?
Think about that for a min. Take off your a&m glasses and think about it!!
If you do, you're about a gullible as Miami fans thinking they have a quality team.
CB Darqueze Dennard is MSU's best shot at a 1st rounder. MIKE LB Max Bullough and SS Isaiah Lewis should also be drafted, but it would take some pretty big years for either to be a 1st rounder. Max may be a 2nd rounder, but MIKE is devalued in the NFL.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
Maybe you should think about it for a min. Tim tebow went first round and manziel has far more upside than tebow ever did.
GM's will fall in love with johnny football not just for his thrilling style of play but for his publicity value as well.
Manziel is over 6'
I don't think OSU has a first rounder. Bradley Roby is being put in the 1st in the mock drafts, but I haven't seen it. I think if Brax has a Vince Young year he could potentially be. Ryan Shazier is another possible, but if I were guessing I'd say we don't have one.
OG Spencer Long is our best shot. He would need to have a monster year though. 2nd or 3rd rounder would be my guess
Ohio State : 1, Roby and idk if that's even for sure honestly.
And whoever said Manziel... Don't kid yourself... To compare him to Tebow... Is just stupid.
