Dan Patrick was talking about this a few days ago. If someone were to give you 3 million dollars but said you could never watch another sporting event ever. Whether it's on tv or in person. If not how much would be your breaking point.
On the show they were talking about 300 million with no watching events and no alcohol...

Not a chance.
No money in the world to keep me from football and bourbon. I guess if I were a lot further down on the economic chain I'd consider it.
3 million, couldnt do it 100 million maybe ha love it too much
3 million is not enough. 300 million is a different story.
Could you check up on it stats etc... As in you can have no part in sports all together or just watching it live?
If not there is no amount of money imo
No. Someone could offer me 10 million, and I would refuse. What would be the point of an awesome TV if you can't watch sports?
What is the point of money if you can't do what brings you joy? I wouldn't take it.
Doesn't mean you can't read about it right? I'd take 300 mil with no sports and no alcohol. I'd find a bunch of other stuff to do with my life.
My guess is you wouldn't be able to watch anything involving sports.
Basically half of my channels would disappear and I'd stop going to Buffalo Wild Wings and sports bars.
That would be a sad life. Only hobby would be the girlfriend.
I'd do it but I would have to live outside of North America. Living in the US or Canada would be too hard to resist. Europe or Asia would be a lot easier.
300 million in a heartbeat, would have the time and money to keep occupied on other things.
I can listen live, right? Sign me up.
Can one really replace their favorite hobby with money? I honestly don't know what i would do. I watch sports every single day. Sure, I could play video games until I'm sucked into the virtual world literally. That will get old sooner or later, then what? Can't watch my Mountaineers play terrible defense, can't watch my Steelers play, can't watch my Reds, can't watch my Penguins(can't do that right now anyway, thanks Bettman)...
Don't know what I would do with myself.
Shoot... 3 mil tax free, in a heartbeat. Sports suck now anyway.
30 mil and I would never even give it another thought.
300 mil and I would never even have a sports memory
www.yohoodent.com ... errybawdee awn ignorle
Sports is just one thing to do. I would travel all over the world.
You can buy a lot of pot and cocaine for $300 mil, IMO.
That is where listening would come into play for me. 95% of Tigers games I listen to on the radio. 75% of Redwings. I try and watch Michigan FB, BB, and the Lions, but I have no problem listening to them.
would be hard to quit sports but i could def not drink
That won't take you 50 years to do(guessing you live to at least 78.
5 million. No problem. I would listen on the radio.
I'd do it for 5 hundred thousand, cash
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
3 million? I'm sold. Wouldn't think twice. So many other ways I could spend my time then
