Sorry B1G fans... Slive >> Delany
SI's 50 most powerful people in sports
I don't make the facts I just report them...
You are entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts.
Big tens fans butthurt for not posting an article from the 70s about how great the big ten is
This isn't a political thread. Leave that crap out of it. It's an interesting article on who SI thinks the most powerful people in sports are.
Texas A&M fans are like the geeky kid who gets assigned to do a diorama with a couple of the cool kids in school.
That's just another decade that the B1G didn't win a sinlge AP or UPI(coaches) title.
Maybe you meant the 80's.....wait none then either, although Penn St did win 2 as an Independent.
At least they won half of one in the 90's.
And how SI thinks the most powerful man in college athletics is the SEC Commissioner.
Saban>> Slive >> Delany imho.
Without self-knowledge there is no individuality
I trust any list that has "Hedge Fund Dude" as number 10....
It sucks to be irrelevant doesn't it
So B1G fans don't trust SI and ESPN. Any other huge sports networks you guys don't trust? Better yet which ones do you trust other than the B1G network?
I never said that. The author of this article is Steve Rushin. He does tounge-in-cheek articles for SI.
He didn't say he didn't trust SI, he said he didn't trust this specific list, written by one SI writer
Probably relied heavily on ESPNs input as well. They are not biased one bit
Just giving him a hard time...
I trust FOX News
Good for you.
What is SI and espn? I only watch B1G net.
The funny thing is that the BTN is surprisingly impartial. The reporters on there have no problem with pointing out flaws within the conference. The day that Maryland and Rutgers were added, there was plenty of lamenting going on from BTN as they questioned how this made the conference stronger in anything other than TV revenue.
I can't remember, what network is the SEC aligned with?
Big10 aligned with Fox, aka News Corp. Biggest broadcasting sharer in the market.
Teein' Off on Links
Why does the Big 10 have a voice anymore? At best, they're 4th in the major conferences and you could even put the ACC above them.
When they deliver a quality football product then they may sit at the grown up table again.
Slive got fleeced into accepting a crappy deal from ESPN to make a psudo SEC network. Now they are scrambling to get out of the contract.
