Yeah well the website www.totallylegitabortionfactstrustmebro.com disagrees.
Medical citation. As in, cite an actual academic study. Not Ronald Regan.
Perhaps with some of them. But it isn't always the same, if some girl decides two weeks before having a baby that she just doesn't want to do this baby thing, that isn't the same thing as a rape victim not wanting a baby they did not ask for no willfully do anything to get.
That's where most of those people draw the distinction. You might not agree but it's rational.

If a girl decides two weeks before birth that she doesn't want it, she's SOL and has to have the thing.
90ish% of abortions occur prior to 10 weeks. 99% of abortions are prior to 22 weeks (will double check).
I would assume that virtually all of the remaining 1% are medically necessary, but will try and dig for proof.
Are you sure that last trimester abortions are illegal in all states excepting life saving measures?
And I was just using that as an example.
I know they are illegal in some states. Their legality almost doesn't really matter, because elective abortions 20+ weeks in almost never happen anyway.
I will dig for this though. It's actually fairly difficult finding reliable abortion statistics quickly because sites are either named www.jesuslovestheunborn.org or www.vacuumsandhangersforwomensrights.com.
Drives me nuts.
Pain can be detected when nociceptors (pain receptors) discharge electrical impulses to the spinal cord and brain. These fire impulses outward, telling the muscles and body to react. These can be measured. Mountcastle, Medical Physiology, St. Louis: C.V. Mosby, pp. 391-427
"Lip tactile response may be evoked by the end of the 7th week. At 11 weeks, the face and all parts of the upper and lower extremities are sensitive to touch. By 13 1/2 to 14 weeks, the entire body surface, except for the back and the top of the head, are sensitive to pain." S. Reinis & J. Goldman, The Development of the Brain C. Thomas Pub., 1980
But kudos on trying to find one quote that you could attack and exploiting it as if it would make your entire argument.
Well it does matter imo. And lol at those site names. The last one especially.
School shootings and movie theaters shootings almost never happen either. Does their legality not matter?

I may have missed it, but do you support abortions for rape victims or when the mother's life is in danger?
Illegal and held up by the Supreme Court.
Should be homicide, and I am guessing that late term abortions not considered partial birth are legal in at least some places, which I also disagree with.
There isn't a way to have a late term abortion other than intact dilation and extraction.
You talking 'bout those Pakistani drone strikes?
Maybe its the fact that the Republican candidate for president openly claimed he would appoint SCOTUS justices who would overturn Roe v Wade.
Many Republicans put similar positions forward in last Novembers campaigns. Do you really think the Dems are unjustified in talking about it?
Or the fact that the Mississippi governor said his number 1 goal is to shut down the only abortion clinic in the state.
Or the fact that planned parenthood/abortion clinics are bombed. Even more frequently churches build places with the same name down a block to confuse people, then berate them if they go in the wrong building.
Not sure who said this but it seems to be consistent with the 70% majority.
"I’ve got two daughters, 9 years old and 6 years old. I am going to teach them first of all about values and morals. But if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby."

Keep the drone strikes going.
Believe half of what you see, and none of what you hear.
No, but what was ridiculous was making it a central campaign issue when there were/are far more important issues that face this country. Issues that effect all of us not just a small number of us like abortion.
It was a tactic to avoid the real issues and in reality TV America it worked like a charm, congratulations.
It is a real issue to some people, just like gay marriage is to others. It may not affect you or me, but don't say there aren't some Americans it does affect and does matter to.
It doesn't effect enough people to make it a central campaign issue.
To the people it affects it does. I personally don't view any issue as "more central" than others. There are a lot of issues I have opinions on and vote accordingly for.
So how many people does something need to affect for it to be a central campaign issue?
So you don't think the economy and the national debt might be more important than abortion?
