Well that just sucks.... I can't believe he's not motivated by the newfound success of his books because of the show. A whole new group of people like me are buying the books after watching the show. That would certainly inspire most people but I guess he's just worthless.
I like Jamie except for the fact he dry humps the mess out of sister...
Other than the Brotherhood Without Banners hanging every single one they can get their hands on? And Lord Manderly killing several of them and serving them in a soup to their relatives?
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
Well he didn't want us to go to far with the spoilers so I kind of kept it low key. He's only just got past the Red Wedding.
Just finished Storm of Swords..... holy s*&%
So for those who read all the books can you verify if these are accurate according to this site I stumbled on...
-Jon Snow is the son of Lysaa(SP) Stark and Rhaegar Targareyn
-Varys smuggled a Targareyn baby out and that kid is alive and ready to come claim his throne
-All Starks we know through HBO will be dead except Arya, Sansa and the 2 little boys
Well, Catelyn is killed by the Freys as is Robb, but Beric Donderrion brings her back to life with his own.
Also, it is only speculation as to whether Snow is the son of Lyanna and Rhaegar, but that is the most believed rumor.
Also it was Littlefinger and the Eyrie chick that started this whole thing including Jon Arryn's death, attempted assasination of Bran to make it look like Tyrion did it
-Lord Tywwin ends up banging Shae and Tyrion disembowels him?
1) They killed Jon Arryn, but it was Joffrey that ordered the assassination of Bran.
2) Tywin bangs Shae, Tyrion finds out, strangles Shae to death and shoots Tywin with a crossbow through the gut, while Tywin's on the crapper. The comment is made that in fact, Tywin Lannister does not **** gold.
3) There is an "Aegon" in book 5, but some people believe that he's an imposter Targaryen. I'm of a mind that he isn't; he'd be Daenarys' nephew and have the strongest claim to the Throne, being the son of the eldest son, rather than a daughter of the previous king.
4) Not so sure about which starks are alive and dead. Only ones we're sure of are Robb and Ned. Don't want to spoil too much. Jon gets stabbed a bunch at the end of Book 5, but it's unsure if he's dead or not. Catelyn gets her throat slashed, but is ressurrected 3 days later by Beric Dodarrion and is a sort of zombie-thing.
Catelyn isnt a zombie, she is the same thing Dondarrion is. She just cant talk because they cut her throat. She also looks more messed up because she was dead and in the water for 3 days before they found her body.
A comet was seen on the day he was conceived, which led his father Rhaegar to believe that he was the Prince that was Promised.
Aegon was just an infant during Robert's Rebellion. He, along with his mother and sister Rhaenys, were hiding in the Red Keep when King's Landing was sacked by Tywin Lannister's forces. Tywin sent two of his bannermen, Ser Gregor Clegane and Ser Amory Lorch, to scale the walls of the Red Keep to hunt down and kill any remaining Targaryens. Ser Gregor entered the royal nursery and killed the baby present by dashing his head against the wall before raping and subsequently murdering Elia.
It is revealed that the baby murdered during the Sack of King's Landing was that of a peasant who Lord Varys put in the cot. Varys then hid baby Aegon. When Robert Baratheon and the realm falsely believed him dead, Varys had agents smuggle him across the Narrow Sea.
Aegon spent his life in exile under the name Young Griff, and was raised by Rhaegar's friend Jon Connington (also believed dead by many in Westeros due to a false story concocted by Varys). Aegon has been trained in matters of military tactics by Jon Connington, arms by Rolly Duckfield, faith by Septa Lemore, and history and languages by Haldon Halfmaestar. He speaks several languages, learned to mend his own clothes, to fish and hunt, and to bind a wound.
According to Varys he has also learned more importantly that ruling is his duty, not his right.
His claim to the Iron Throne is stronger than his aunt Daenerys's. As yet there is no indication as to whether he has inherited the Targaryen propensity for dragon dreams as Daenerys has
This, and given the way some characters keep coming back, even that doesn't seem final sometimes.
Or is she?
Well, other than a desire for brains, she's pretty much a zombie. Walking corpse dead for days, f'd up features due to decay, etc.
She does have intelligence it appears.
Watch HBO bring Ned Stark back
Anyone want to have a discussion about Howland Reed? Hoping he shows up in the final two books.
Wow, no idea why I came in here... I don't have a clue what any of you are talking about... Good luck with all that.

Ha! Totally agree!
What you eat, don't make me shit.
For anyone who hasn't seen. A link to a chapter of the newest book
Yea, I read it and all it did was piss me off that I have to wait another 3 years til that book comes out.
Yeah. 'twas a fix is all. Need moar.
Finally finished the books. Was very disappointed by both the 4th and 5th. Wondering if anyone else was. The 5th was so long for so little happening.
Bump for discussion.
Coldhands = who?
Benjen Stark seems to be a likely candidate, but something just doesn't feel quite right about that. In some ways it seems almost too obvious. Also, wouldn't Bran at some point think to himself (even though Coldhands seems to be wearing scarves and cold winter gear that hides most of his features) think to himself that this guy reminds me of my uncle?
Any other theories/suggestions?
