Is there any other sport besides football that catches heat for not hiring minority candidates? Hockey thread got me thinking about it.
If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.
We need more black hockey coaches.
Noticeably absent from most golf and tennis squads too
Consider the demographic makeup of most golf, hockey, tennis, baseball, etc. teams. It's a big issue in football and basketball because such a large percentage of the players are African-American.
I know, it was a joke!
Basketball is probably the only good comparable? I was more wondering if the % of coaches in the other sports are close to the same as the % in football, in relation to the number AA players of course.

It'd be interesting to do a comparison of hispanic players/managers in MLB in relation to african american players/coaches in the NFL. I honestly don't know what the numbers are in either, so I won't comment or draw conclusions.
MLB is about 12% AA I think.
Yeah but basketball has tons of black coaches, so....only football.
And 10% of that is the Braves outfield. Heyo!
Any idea what the % is for College or NBA basketball?
There are so many more players in FB too, so it probably skews it even further..
Up, Up, and J-Hey!
