I did but its hard to figure out how someone not in school is getting his school paid for.
A fourth year junior, which has already graduated, doesn't need his school paid as a fifth year senior unless he is getting a master's.
We have several that will move on because they will be 5th year seniors that won't get any PT.
I agree. You're an idiot.
Thanks for the roster update....now I dont have to look for it. Good Lawd we are loaded with talent....SCARY!!
I guess the offseason has officially started. We do t make the rules. We just follow them.
ROLL TIDE haters.
I counted 109 players fwiw
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
how many USC QB's have won the Super Bowl again ?
still laughing at that failed spin.
I did the the math the other day and it wasn't easy. Last 4 years, Alabama enrolled 106 new scholarship players, but always kept 85 on roster. Maybe that is totally legit.. Or maybe it is extreme roster management. Either way, that is some serious turnover.
i must ask, where did you get the fictional " 106 enrolled" # ?
i'll assume before you answer, it was from a NSD L.O.I. list ?

the UA admissions office perhaps ?
I used rivals, 247, BamaMag, espn. I averaged from those 4 sources.
NSD L.O.I. lists ?
a "letter of intent" (or LOI) is a document outlining an agreement between two or more parties BEFORE the agreement is FINALIZED.
L.O.I. lists ?
hopefully now you realize that "those 4 sources" ARE NOT actual "signed/enrolled" numbers.
here is a "source".... NCAA 25/85 rule. read it, learn it, realize it.
its virtually as easy as turning on a light once you figure out the up & down switch on the wall.
That Roster is just sick!
We are going to fvck some people up next year!
Not if AJ gets hurt, cause your QB depth chart is a hot mess
Colin Cowherd addressed the very thing the other day, and he hit the nail on the head. Envy is an ugly word. He said don't be envious of Alabama and its dynasty, figure out how the hell they did it.
I would suggest that all of the butt hurt fans ITT take your "lists" to the head coach of your favorite school, and together you guys formulate a plan.
My God, Coach Saban is processing the entire landscape of CFB. I've never seen the bitching and belly-aching that Saban produces in other fans. It is priceless.
Alec Morris (2012's most underrated steal) will be the #2 QB in 13'- while Sims gets the speed option reps.
I think I could win 10 games at Bama as QB. I may have the second worst QB rating in the country, ahead of Kiehl Frazier at Auburn, but Bama's defense and running game is good enough to win 10 games.
Really? You think Frazier is better than me?
Hell no, I think Bama would only win like 5 games with you at QB though
You suck at hitting that back shoulder pass and eventually Cooper would curse you out like shizz
Cooper runs too deep to be catching passes from me. I'm more of a tight end or screen pass thrower. However, my hand off skills will get better every week. I can even catch passes and run out of bounds if we decided to do a couple trick plays.
I could beat all the OOC cupcakes, auburn, Tennessee, both Miss schools, and maybe Arkansas. That's Chik Fil A Bowl material.
You tellin me Cooper can't house a screen pass ?
Auburn is a auto win for sure
May have to run a few shovel passes, along with those screens to him every now and then if we put Justin in.
I think it's a fair question and one we kick around a lot ourselves because it is confusing. None of us will ever know for sure who they are but what we have learned is that some people we think are on full scholarship are actually walk-ons. We also know that most of our guys get a degree in 4 years. If a guy has a degree and still has eligibility (due to redshirting) he may or may not get invited back depending on what the coaches think of his ability to contribute. So you can look at our roster today and count 3-4 guys that you think will be seniors when in fact they won't be back. The coaches already know this and can recruit accordingly. They also know who the medical redshirts will be and then the aforementioned walk-ons. In the end I have come to know that our numbers from the outside looking in are generally off by as much as a 1/2 dozen players every year.
