Wants to confiscate guns when major disasters hit.
The mayor of an Alabama city has proposed a disaster emergency ordinance that would give police the authority to confiscate weapons in the event of a major disaster. Guntersville Mayor Leigh Dollar says the ordinance would ensure a quick response in the event of a major disaster.
Yeah, this won't work
Tell me about it. What a dumb bvtch.
Yea....we are gonna keep you safe by taking your guns away.
Of course it's a woman.
What I'm trying to figure out is that if somebody came unruly, aren't police officers already allowed to take their guns under the myriad of bullsh*t laws already in place?
Not surprised where she is a mayor of...
Guntersville has some dumb people in the town. It's not surprising that their mayor represents it.
I think most towns have dumb people in them. Guntersville is one of the more nice towns in North Alabama, IMO. Lots of money there as well. Lots.
Sounds like they need a new mayor asap
I haven't known about the local politics up there for several years now but it sounds as if you're right.
So a plan to take guns, when people are going to want guns the most. Sounds logical.
