Basically the next four or five-star commit for Bama should push the Crimson Tide ahead for the nation's top 2013 class as .23 points is all that separates Bama from USC right now. Dee Liner, Vonn Bell, Laremy Tunsil, etc.
Say the Trojans land Leon McQuay III, who is a five-star prospect according to the 247Composite. That could push USC further ahead. An A'Shawn Robinson commit could really help the cause, too.
I'm curious to see what happens if Georgia lands Tunsil, Montravius Adams, Reuben Foster and Toby Johnson. That's three five stars and a high four star JUCO added to one of the largest classes in the country. The Bulldogs could contend for the top overall class.
I think if Ole Miss knocks it out of the park and gets Robert Nkemdiche, Carl Lawson, Elijah Daniel and Laquon Treadwell that the Rebels could end up in the top five nationally.
Regardless, it is going to be very interesting to see what happens down the stretch with the team rankings and which program ends up No. 1.

Wow... Ole Miss potentialy in the top 5 who would have thunk it. What about Tony Connor being in that class as well? That would be a very impressive haul for CHF .
Ugh. I always forget to include him and he's ery likely Ole Miss-bound.
Yep, Ole Miss has a lot of possibilities left out there.
The ones JC mentioned, Tony Conner as you mentioned, Kailo Moore and Ashton Shumpert will visit (I could see them being split among Ole Miss and Mississippi State), Jason Carr is another, etc...

What happens if OSU gets Mitchell, Johnson, Bell and Quick?
So 247 is going to use the composite as their official ranking for team class rank? Will never understand why 247 wants to water down their rankings with competitor's inferior rankings. Mind boggling.
If Ohio State runs the table, then they will certainly end up higher.
All depends on where others shake out.
Alabama and Georgia are set up to go up more, if they both split/land the top guys in on.
If your team can be in the top 3-5 it's basically a wash as it depends how you develop that talent once on campus. We all know some do more with less or less with more. Mack prob does the least with all the talent or star ratings then any coach in America
Gerry and JC who do you think Bama will finish with? If signing day was tomorrow.
I have been very impresses with the possibility of Ole Miss's class. Connor, Lawson, Nkemdiche, et al. Freeze could have a lot of high powered toys to play with.
Quick is UL bound, man. He's keeping it quiet until the All American game ( can't remember which one he's in.)
Keep Calm & Stoops On..
This. Quick has all but said he was going to Lville and has remained constant that they are his leader.
OSU land's Mitchell, Johnson, Worley, Elder and Gibson to finish out the class....
I dont care about the rankings though honestly, its about developing the talent you get and using them the right way.

I agree with this on Quick.
Vonn Bell (Tennessee now has more time - something to watch)
Ill take a flyer on Jason Carr at DE too as a guy not talked about much but comes into play for real in January.
Tough call on Tunsil. I think Tunsil will want Bama, and mom will want Georgia.
A lot depends on who Bama truly wants/pushes for IMO.

Gerry, rather dumb question, but I'm going to ask anyway. Do you see Kentucky flipping any commits or snagging some "surprises" with Stoops at the helm?
I am super surprised we are even still in it with a total of 15 guys. Can't imagine if we could take a full class of 25... or 35 dudes like some skewls.

I think we can make a run for the #1 spot
We already have the #1 spot
Do you think Carr moves up in the rankings, and is he playing in any of the All-Star games?

Not out of the question. Hard to say for sure.
Not sure on Carr and which AS game.
JC... How far up can UF go if we land 2/3 of Ramsey,Collins and DeMarcus Walker?
It's going to be interesting. The only one I'd project is the in-state kid currently committed to Minnesota, maybe Vonn Bell.
But I'd be surprised if that's how Bama closed. There will be a Tunsil or something that ends up there.
Without doing the math (which I am not smart enough to do) it seems that would put Florida right on the tail of Bama and USC, especially if Walker flipped. That being said, it's just smoke on Walker for now.
I think Bama will finish it's class with
Yea its gunna be interesting.. January 5th could be another UF flip, we'll see
