With loses to Tennessee, LSU and Auburn. UT is going to end the streak with a 27-24 victory over the Tide.
We don't give a damn about the whole state of Alabama.
Tennessee beating Bama
2009, 2011, 2012 Champs
This. They won't win because of it.

Without self-knowledge there is no individuality
I think you go 10-2 with losses to LSU and someone else. Maybe Arky.
Well since our future is written in stone, I'm going to root for Penn St to be in the title game.
*Edit- Forgot they can't go. Would've been awesome for their players.
Give it to LSU then...

The only way Tennessee beats Alabama is sheer derp. Tennessee doesn't pull out a gritty, hard-earned victory. Alabama could go full retard and probably still win by 14.
I always feel really good going into a season with a good o line. This year's line is as good as it gets. Unfortunately, the one how we might have is at db, which reminds me of 2010. Luckily our safety situation is better, so we might not give up those untimely big plays like that year.
We could go I think we are as equally likely to go undefeated as lose two games. The schedule isn't easy, but it's tough early, so we'll know soon.
Congrats on 10000th post asylum. +1 for bringin' it stong!

Retardation at its finest.
Saban is undefeated vs UTk while at Alabama. Maybe in 2020 y'all can have a shot
I can agree with this. But it will end up as 11-2 with the bowl win.
Our schedule doesn't scare me except for LSU. Arky has me skeptical but unless we shit the bed I expect something like 1-2 losses
You know I like posters than can see rationally even when talking about a team they consider to be great(not saying I don't agree). I don't expect LSU or Bama to be in the Natty not because they don't have the pieces just feel CFB tends to prevent it. I like to give ranges for teams so I expect 8-10 total wins from Bama. LSU may be the same... Don't get me wrong both teams are really good and deserve the rankings they earned but going wire to wire has happened twice in CFB so its not impossible just not likely(things happen). Also teams that make it to the title game rarely go back and win. Just not that likely to happen but it can. Teams just don't perform when they have the opportunity to do otherwise. Even if they make it to the game history in the BCS shows that we have never had a back to back winner even though we often have teams that could have done it. So both teams have history working against them.
BCS Back to back returners:
2009-FLA-(lost in SEC Champ)
2011-Oregon(L to LSU but the loss to USC is probably what kept them out of the title game would have had a really good argument for being there over Bama considering how close Bamas loss was to the end of the year)
Mind you I hope the SEC bias is gone at least for the last year of the BCS- No hate intended, nor do I not acknowledge that Bama was the best football team in the country last year)
Just feel that good teams lose out on opportunity by losing to teams that are not as good as they are or equal to.
Im an FSU fan so I'll use us for an example just to make it easier:
1987-Lost to Miami because Bobby didn't want the tie26-25 going for a 2pt conv., By far the two best teams in the country didn't take advantage of opportunity. FSU didn't play in Natty...
1988-Didn't even show up to the Miami game, goose egged it but I think Miami was just better. Not 31-0 better but that is on the team for playing so poorly. FSU didn't play in Natty....
1996-Played a team we beat and just stunk it up, two possible reasons UF just came in more prepared than us or FSU thought they were going to win because they had already done it. I feel UF just beat us.
1997-FSU got inside the 5yd line and failed 3 times to score which would have been 33-25 lead for FSU. Settle for a FG and FSU just blew it with a long 61 yard pass on the first play of the next drive. UF scored. FSU didnt play in Natty...
Just saying Bama should not have been chosen over an OSU team that lost 1 game in double overtime the day after a major tragedy happened at the school. Not trying to down Bama but sometimes the better team misses their opportunity to be champion. OSU had a real excuse for losing. Bama just didn't play well.
Edit: Just thought about how this has nothing to do with the thread... guess I felt like ranting... sorry

Walking up these hills you have no choice but to be fast!
I stopped reading above post when poster put Bama in the 8-10 win range. Poster obviously has no idea what he/she is talking about and is most likely butt hurt...

Not butt hurt at all what an idiotic thing to say.... I even stated that I like rational posters... Remember the last time you guys were ranked #1 PreSeason and won a Natty the year before you went 9-3? Yeah ok so don't act like it doesnt happen.
-I also stated both teams LSU/Bama are capable of being as good as the ranking they have...
And that tragedy really affected them when they were up 24-7 in the 3rd. If they would have come out flat, I would give you the tragedy argument.
I understand the nature of the game and the way OSU came out was as if they were going to win the game. And I understand why you would say that argument isn't good... But being an unbiased person in this(I understand how difficult that may be with your team) would you actually pick a team that just did not perform to their talent over a team that lost its only game of the year the day after a major tragedy by 6 pts in a 2OT game? Like seriously. Trust me I am not hating on Bama and whoever said I was butthurt must be trippin because I have no reason to be. Im just stating the obvious, not dissing your program at all, nor am I trying to say your team wasn't the best team in the country. Even during the first game you dominated LSU and never capitalized on it. But when a better team loses they just lose out. To me the BCS just made a mistake.... its an opinion that I doubt any Alabama fan would agree with but whatever. In my opinion a loss after a major school tragedy>a loss @ home because your FG kickers missed 3x...
you guys act like I said absolutes and came on here and said Alabama isn't a good school and they are going to lose this and that. I simply said "I" feel they will win 8-10 games. I think you lose to LSU and Arky... And you have 3 other games you can potentially lose, Michigan, AU, and Tamu.
I think both LSU and Arky are better teams this year than Bama, opinion.
You are playing Michigan the first game. Potential upset no matter how you think about it. Michigan is a good team.
You play Tamu after LSU and its a new type of team to deal with-I don't expect you to lose this game but its a potential upset in the making.
And AU is your rival and no matter how you twist it I always put rivalry games down as potential upsets just because bragging rights are on the line and teams come into that game as prepared as ever. I don't expect AU to have a great season so this would be their highlight of the season.
That's 5 games I feel Bama could lose. Like I said I think the LSU and Arky games are the games you will lose: 10W
I stated 3 games I feel you could lose in and also stated that I doubt seriously you lose to Tamu leaving 2 games: 8W
Which is why I said I think you will win 8-10 games... I feel you will most likely end up at 10 but that was why I stated I like ranges because I accounts for those games you can slip up in.
-I could have easily said 11W but like I said I feel Arky will beat you this year.
Edit: I used the word expect instead of feel in my original post. Just acknowledging that.
That tragedy had zero to do with their game. No player on that team knew them, and the coaches did not know them personally, yes it was a horrible thing, but did not have anything to do with the mind-set of Oklahoma State. They lost to Iowa State in OT, we lost to the #1 team in country in OT. Lets say LSU lost 2 games during the season and they beat us. We go on to win the SEC with 1 loss...do you think we play in the natty with 1 lose to a top ten team? Yes, but if we lose to the #1 team we dont?
"Not trying to down Bama but sometimes the better team misses their opportunity to be champion"
If you think Oklahoma State was better than Bama than you are way mistaken. I think they were good, but not LSU/Bama good last year. They were on the same level as Ark/UGA, and took advantage of REALLY poor defenses in the BIG12.
So let me get this straight. Now, the voters and/or people involved in the committee in 2 years need to take into account things outside the game of football when voting on which teams should be playing the BCSCG or in the 4-team playoff?
I guess Texas should turn over the BCS title to LSU in 2005 since that was a really good team that had Hurricane Katrina happen the week before their first game which forced them to have to travel across the country to play and then even when they returned, they had limited availablility for practicing that season, not to mention 32 players on the team had their family living in assisted housing because their homes were lost or damaged.
Alabama needs to give Miami the 1992 National Title because Hurricane Andrews decimated Miami and much of South Florida just prior to that season.
Actually maybe LSU should have just given Bama the first game because of the Tornado that injured our long snapper and killed his girlfriend earlier in the year. Surely one of his snaps may have been a half an inch low or something and that is what caused one of the FGs to be missed. That would give us the SEC title and the BCS title back from OSU since we would have been undefeated.
Hopefully you believe everything above sounds pretty stupid, because that is about what you sound like, but just in case I am going to call up the Lakers, Pistons, and Bulls and see if they will all give the Celtics one of their NBA Championships since Len Bias and Reggie Lewis both died. It just seems like the right thing to do.
You are entitled to your opinion...but i love the chip on the shoulder. Motivate us some more!! How do you deal with success? We need more motivation....We feed again in 24 days
How do you feel they didn't know them? What athletic department has players that don't know the coaches and players from each sport? Lol thats funny.... When I was running track the football players were some of my closest friends... the girls basketball players were always around... and everyone had classes together.
-And I stated previously THAT BAMA WAS THE BEST TEAM IN CFB LAST YEAR.... but they did not show up to the game and they lost for no reason...
^^^answer this part
And btw if Oklahoma State would have won, the tragedy would have been considered motivation. We had a multiple tornadoes tear through our state, and im not trying to compare the tragedies, but both happened to each team and should not be considered at all. Its how you respond to the tragedy that matters.
