I agree. There is only one bowl game that matters and different coaches have different approaches to bowl games other than the BCSCG. Some take them seriously, some just let the players have fun, and some let the players themselves decide how seriously they want to take it.
I said Oregon and was thinking about the bowl game sorry...
I say this because if you look at the BCS rankings Bama lost in every computer ranking to OSU except 2... these 2 were just enough to put Bama in over OSU who had by most computer formulas had a better strength of schedule. 2 out of 6 computers just so happen to be agreeing on this when they never agree unless its by far obvious who the best two teams are...

Walking up these hills you have no choice but to be fast!
They should have had a rematch. How does them losing in their bowl games to other teams constitute things figuring themselves out?
A team that doesn't win it's regular season nor post season championship should have an argument. That goes for UM or Bama.BTW I'm fine with Bama getting a rematch. All I'm saying is the policies should be uniform across the board and they're not.UM should have gotten another crack at OSU.They lost by on the road to the number one team and at they team they were number two.Bama loses a close game at home to the number one team and immediately after the media was clamoring for a rematch. You could see the train wreck coming from a mile away lol.
I think they were completely out of it though... Both polls agreed and the computers had them equal so UF gets the nod in that.... but I agree if Bama deserved a rematch last year Michigan did too. Lost to number 1 while UF lost to a good AU team but still. Same argument... 2008 also with UF getting the Nod over Texas... Tech was at the time a better team than Ole Miss.
Pretty sure Alabama didn't create the system. You can't fault the program for benefiting from Ok State, Oregon, Boise, and OU shitting the bed.
Personally, I think that Alabama defense deserved to be considered champions. There hasn't been a better defense in the modern era.
That's debatable. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but that 2008 Tech team, while boasting an 11-1 record, didn't really have an impressive schedule and though they did beat Texas, got completely destroyed by OU by 44 points. I would have to go back and look, but I believe Ole Miss had a pretty tough schedule that year and ended up with 8-4 with some pretty good wins and if I remember correctly, didn't lose any game by more than a touchdown.
I don't think it's that easy, but I don't disagree. Anytime a team loses, you have to look at the other teams involved. In 2006, the other team involved, Florida, had only lost to a team in the top 10, in Auburn. The other team's resume was the difference, IMO. The difference wasn't Alabama and Michigan.
Ole Miss did beat Texas Tech that year, FYI.
Get that common sense out of here. You can only pick and choose certain facts to support your opinion.
If we win only 8 games with our schedule, Nick Saban deserves to be fired.
Michigan - W. Our OL will dictate this game.
Western Kentucky - W No explanation
@Arkansas - W. I think their loss of WRs is gonna hurt this game. Also believe their D isn't up to par
Florida Atlantic - W. No explanation needed
Ole Miss- W. Ole Miss doesn't have the players to run with us.
@ Missouri - W. Could be a trap game. We struggle with dual threat QB's in a spread offense, but I don't think much of their D
@ Tennessee - W. I will be enjoying my cigar
Mississippi State - W. It's home. They'll probably play us close but our D will have gelled by this point.
@ LSU - L. In Baton Rouge, only real game that scares us and I'm giving them the win just because it's in their house. Injuries before this game could decide it.
Texas A&M - W. New offense, new coach, new conference. Good setup for an ass kicking
Western Carolina - W No explanation
Auburn - W. This could change depending on how well Van Gorder has done his job and how Kiehl Frazier has progressed.
and we were 10-3 in 2010.
Again I have no problem with Alabama playing in the Championship game. The humans obviously decided they should be there because the computers sure didn't.What I'm saying is if Bama got another crack than UM should have to.
Personally I laugh at what you just said.Greatest defense in the modern era?HAHAHAHAHAHA

UM lost its last game of the season. Too tough to recover from that.
Bama lost at the beginning of November and then multiple teams had to go out and buy new sheets after they shit their bed.
Timing is everything, Michigan didn't have it
Win they lost shouldn't matter.Who they lost to should matter.
The OSU/Mich game was awesome. The Bama/LSU game was not a good game, the media was the only one interested in a rematch of that game.
I can't have a conversation with people who don't understand the difference between when and win.
However, I will agree with your second part but timing just plays a bigger part. It's the system the Big 10 and Pac 10 wanted when Slive proposed the playoff years ago. Made your bed, sleep in it
Then stop talking simple.
People who prefer defense to offense loved it.
Of course Bama fans enjoyed the second and LSU fans loved the first
I fully understand the system and I'm fully calling it crap as I alluded to in my very first message in this thread.
Coming from the guy who can't grasp the timing aspect of the BCS.....
Still addressing me after crying over a typo LOL?I can fully grasp the crap system. The fact that you defend the crap system says alot though.
Actually none of this really matters it's just good conversation but carry on.
Where's my "He Mad" gif??
Don't like Rammer Jammer? Probably because you just lost to Bama... Get ready to hear it again... and often...
