Short answer-no. I understand you're position against Christianity and religion but no, those morons don't care about God or believe in him. They care about stirring up trouble and controversy and making millions off it.
Go Blue & Gig Em'!
All they are doing is 'spreading the word'. They do it in absolutely terrible taste and their interpretation of the bible differs from virtually everyone else, but they are preaching. And that's what they say they are doing as well.
We have no proof that this is all a scam, so you have to take them at their word.
Is the Taliban made up of Muslims?
I'm sure some are but when I think of the Taliban I don't automatically think Muslims, I think radical terrorists. That's an idiotic and short sighted view on life. When I think of Chinese people, I don't think of Panda Express.
If you think the Taliban can be made up of Muslims, you certainly have to allow for the possibility that some of the WBC is made up of christians. And, just like you call the Taliban a Muslim-terrorist organization (they admit to the muslim part and, at least a little bit of the terrorist part), you call the WBC a christian organization.
Pretty much the only argument I've heard that the WBC isn't made up of christians can be summed up as 'the WBC is full of jerks and christians aren't jerks'. That's horsecrap.
Also, that last sentence is hilarious. You can't know anything about chinese people.
Also, to your point I don't know the Quran, I don't think anywhere in there it talks about murdering innocents in the name of Alla. I'm sure any Muslim what tell you the same thing.
Actually it does. The Qu'ran states:
Think not of those who are slain in Allah's way as dead. Nay, they live, finding their sustenance in the presence of their Lord; They rejoice in the bounty provided by Allah: And with regard to those left behind, who have not yet joined them (in their bliss), the Shuhada's [martyrs'] glory is in the fact that on them is no fear, nor have they (cause to) grieve.
— Sura 3, Ayat 169 - 170
Allah is an enemy to unbelievers. - Sura 2:98
On unbelievers is the curse of Allah. - Sura 2:161
Slay them wherever ye find them and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution is worse than slaughter. - Sura 2:191
Moderate muslims just ignore that stuff, just like moderate christians ignore all the fire and brimstone in the OT. The taliban and WBC just interpret all the violent stuff literally.
O believers, take not Jews and Christians as friends; they are friends of each other. Those of you who make them his friends is one of them. God does not guide an unjust people. - Surah 5:54
Make war on them until idolatry is no more and Allah's religion reigns supreme - Surah 8:39
Pretty sure I said I didn't know what the Quran stated, so...
I wasn't trying to make a jackass out of you, but I do know what the Qu'ran states regarding anyone who doesn't believe in Allah, so I posted it.
It's all a matter of interpretation. The taliban interprets every word of the Qu'ran at literal, face value. Moderate Muslims ignore the unpleasant parts.
Likewise, the WBC interprets every word of the bible literally. Virtually every american christian ignores most of the prophets, the fire and brimstone, the stuff. Some more moderate christians ignore the homosexuality parts. It's all believing what you want to believe.
That doesn't make any of those people less devout. Someone isn't more or less muslim/christian depending on their interpretation.
Wake up people. It is a regligious organization for tax purposes only. They don't care about Jesus or God, only about working the system to make money. The fact that they have some on here fooled to think that they do this in Jesus' name is sad. They are using you guys.
You do not know what you are talking about. I would not post anything about organized religion ever again because you are completely off base.

They are not Christians. Bottom line. If you are a Christian you are to adhere to the New Testament & the teachings of Jesus Christ. Find one line or scripture where Christ teaches hate or intolerance toward any peoples. No matter of race, sexual orientation ect. He did not teach hate, he taught that through him & love & respect for one another we could all enjoy the kingdom beside him.
There's your verse. The rest is your opinion. If jesus is god, and the OT is the word of god, then jesus (by definition) supports what is in the OT. People can interpret the bible differently than you and still be christian.
