All teams with one loss......

All of the teams out there with one loss shouldn't complain regardless of what happens, if OSU or LSU loses. I'm an Alabama fan, but my team lost the right to argue to be in the BCSCG when they lost. The same goes for OU, Oregon, Arkansas, Clemson, Virginia Tech, Stanford, and either LSU or OSU if they happen to lose before the end of the season.

If a team wants to make a claim, don't lose. TCU, Auburn, and other teams that didn't lose, but got left out, can make an argument for themselves in the years in which they got left out. It happens sometimes and it sucks, but that is the way it is.

Whichever team gets a chance, assuming somebody loses, should be very thankful, but it is not a right of theirs either to be in that game. They would be the lucky one that gets chosen. I don't understand how so many people can cry so much over something that their team had a chance to take care of on the field, but failed to do so.

The only argument any of the one loss teams should be trying to make is that we need a playoff. There is no way in any given year to ensure that every team is playing a balanced schedule and the only way to really show superiority is through a playoff. I wish that it could happen, but I have my doubts.

It sickens me to listen to XM/Sirius 91 to all the callers that are so sure that they are the best one loss team in the country and that they should be in the game if someone loses. Everyone's argument can be trumped with, but you lost at home to LSU, you lost at home to Texas Tech, you lost convincingly in a neutral site game to LSU, you lost convincingly to Alabama, you lost convincingly to Oregon, Clemson, or you lost to Geogia Tech.

If someone loses and Alabama ends up being one of the teams that isn't lucky enough to be selected, you won't hear me complain. We lost out chance to complain 2 weeks ago and most everyone else outside of Baton Rouge and Stillwater have already lost their right to complain as well. The argument of who you beat is destroyed by the argument of who you didn't beat everytime in my book.

Personally I am beginning to hope LSU and OSU win out so we don't have to hear about all the bloody tampons for the next months or years.

That would be what I would prefer, but my point is just that in this system, losing a game costs a team the right to complain and I wish more people could understand that and quit complaining about who is going to be in the game if someone loses.

That is what made the 2008 season such a joke. A 2 loss team being declared the NC over all other 2 loss teams.

I agree, but someone has to win it. If tOSU would have won, we would have had an undefeated MNC. There is no other sport that preference is given to a team without a loss, except college football. Everyone that deserves a chance is able to prove their case on the field/court, except for college football. When everyone realizes how absurd that is, we can get a playoff.

I am tired of hearing about how that will keep kids out of school more. Football players miss less school than any other student/athlete. Hell, there are 8 teams in Puerto Rico right now missing an entire week of school in a basketball tournament, but that is constantly the argument you hear from those in charge of the Universities.

So glad I don't have to worry about any of that crap unless we lose (Sry, Arky is not coming to Tiger Stadium and winning). UGA has looked a lot better than Arky.

Agreed, LSU deserves it if they run the table this year. But. On a side note that is why I wish for an undefeated ACC, Big East, B1G, Big 12, Pac 12 and SEC team. Fvck it, make everybody pissed so that we have to have a playoff system.

Yep, I start to get fired up over the loss of school problem. If division 2 and 3 can do it, you better believe the BCS teams can do it. Rank the bowls and use them for the playoffs.

I don't think UGA has looked better. Look at the teams they have played. Both crushed Auburn. Both struggled against Vandy (UGA at home and Arky on the road). Arky beat USCe pretty good and UGA lost to them.

I think LSU beats Arky by about 14 or so and will beat UGA just as bad if not worse. UGA has gotten a lot of credit for beating a bunch of crappy teams this year. Look at their wins. Which one impresses you?

They struggled to outlast a Florida team that both Bama and LSU steamrolled like they were UTEP.

That's why the game is played on the field. Didn't think a 7-4 Arkansas team could beat a 10-1 LSU team at home in 2007. Or Didn't think a 4-7 Arkansas team could beat a 8-3 LSU team in 2008. Didn't think a 9-2 team could beat a 10-1 LSU team in 2010. But we did and have and will again, whether it's this year or the next. Bobby can coach and Tyler can throw. We gotta shot. A small shot.

Let's see, on one hand we have......

    Kent State @ home
    Penn State - away
    North Texas @ home
    Arkansas @ home
    Florida - away
    Vanderbilt @ home
    Ole Miss - away
    Tennessee @ home
    LSU @ home
    Miss St. - away
    Georgia Southern @ home
    Auburn - away

    On the other, we have....

    Boise State - Neutral site
    SCU @ home
    Coastal Carolina @ home
    Ole Miss - away
    Miss St @ home
    Tennessee - away
    Vanderbilt - away
    Florida - away
    New Mexico St. @ home
    Auburn @ home
    Kentucky @ home
    Georgia Tech - away

You're right, I don't know how I missed it, there is a huge difference in those two schedules. Alabama has played the tougher schedule by far.....lol. All of Bama's wins have been super impressive......unless, of course, you don't live in the state of Alabama.

As far as the South Carolina comparison....Georgia's defense held the Cocks to 17 points. The rest of their points came off of int's, fumble returns and fake punts. Our offense gained 436 yards and scored 42 points. Arkansas gained 435 and score 44 against them. Not what I would call much of a difference.

I normally would agree but LSU is on another level this year. That talent is finally clicking under Miles.

I can't see us losing at home to you guys with the way we have handled teams this year. I will be shocked if we lose to you guys to be honest.

I know history says otherwise but i'm highly confident.

Remind me again who lost to and who beat South Carolina??

Arkansas won and UGA lost. Arkansas won 44-28 as well, by the way. Hard to compare an almost won, with a 2 TD win. I guess UGA needs to claim some of those moral vicotories along the way.

Who has Alabama played this year that they did not beat soundly, except for the #1 team in the nation.

Before I go on, why would you mention Florida as an away game, but not list Boise as a home game? Interesting.

Let's look at the 5 common opponents:

UGA beat Ole Miss 27-13, while Bama won 52-7
UGA beat Tennessee 20-12, while Bama won 37-6
UGA beat Vandy 33-28, while Bama won 34-0
UGA beat Florida 24-20 (neutral site, not away), while Bama won 38-10 (actual away game)
UGA beat MSU 24-10, while Bama won 24-7

There is only one of those 5 games that were even remotely close in score. Vandy scored 28 points against that amazingly overrated UGA defense, while Bama gave up 30 points to all five of those teams combined.

UGA is having a nice little season, but you are not even in our league.

Alabama's schedule is not an amazing stellar schedule by any means, although it is ranked 20th in the Sagarin rankins.

The average rankings of the teams Alabama has beaten is 61st, while UGA's is 78th. Alabama's average SEC opponent ranks 39th, while UGA's is 52nd. Arkansas's, by the way, since that is the team that I said is better than UGA, average ranking of SEC opponent is 38th.

UGA's best OOC win so far this year is against New Mexico St, who is ranked 121st in the Sagarin Poll, behind 17 FCS teams. Penn St is ranked 26th in that same poll, by the way. I know, I know, Alabama plays an FCS team this Saturday in Georgia Southern, who happens to be ranked 73rd in the Sagarin Poll though.

I know you guys are thrilled of the year you are having and most of us are as well. I would love to see UGA continue its consistant history of mediocre results, especially if that mean Richt stays right where he is. But, but, but, but.....I know....He's a great guy! I agree. You should hold on to him. His record is much better than Dooley's was.

I can say with certain that whoever shows up in Atlanta will be pounding UGA. Since the West team is the home team this year, you could hope that LSU is there as that would let you have the chance to get out those black uniforms again.

Lots of words, very little substance.

Let's talk the week before the SECCG. Then we can determine if you truly believe all the shit you write. It's one thing to talk shit; it's an entirely different thing to back it up.

How about, let's talk the week after the SECCG when one of three teams lays a spanking on the puppies. Then again, don't let numbers get in the way of your argument.

Still waiting for UGA's impressive victory this year........Is it a depressingly awful Florida team, that you limped by? Or an Aubie team that anyone with a pulse has trounced?

What exactly is UGA going to do by the week before the SECCG to chance anyone's opinion of them? Seriously.

Whatever you say. Time will tell. In the meantime, keep adding turds to that shit sandwich.

2005, 3rd ranked LSU was a 10 point favorite over #13 UGA. Final score - UGA 34 LSU 14.....and it wasn't that close.

    I'll be around, Bubba.
