I completely agree with this. My sister has 2 and they are the most loving dogs I have been around.
You can make any dog mean if you want to, the issue with pits is they are way stronger and athletic than all other breeds. Raise them right and they will be the best companion you could have.
Not me, give me a lion

Up-vote . . great response
Buy a pitbull and you will change your mind.
Stop basing all of your facts on the few attacks that occur every year.
Out of all the pit bulls that are owned, 99% won't attack their owner or any other person during their lifetime. I've never encountered a properly trained pit bull that I was afraid of.
But, on the other hand, I guess we should kill all the people in the world because a tiny percentage of us are lunatics and murder others.
I keep hearing this "properly trained" or however its phrased. To those of you who own pit bulls, would you say that they need professional training in order to function properly around people. Where as other breeds don't really need training and can be around people. Serious question because I have owned dogs but not pit bulls. So if I got one and assumed it was like my other dogs and it didn't need professional training, then I could be in trouble.
All dogs need proper training, and socializing..
My pit bulls haven't had behavior training. Just the basic sit, stay, come, down, crawl, jump, shake...
Treat any dog well, it will respond in kind.
Treat any dog like crap, it will respond to that too.
