    Overview:

    The Channel Associate, Coordinator will be responsible for both the specific growth of athenaCoordinator as well as athenahealth’s other services: athenaCollector, athenaClinicals and athenaCommunicator. The role includes 1) the recruitment of physician offices to send their hospital orders through athenaCoordinator and 2) the cross promotion of athenahealth’s physician billing, EHR and patient communication services into these Coordinator practices. The athenaCoordinator Channel Associate must have strong knowledge of all athenahealth products, be able to address questions concerning all the services, and be able to demonstrate the Coordinator product to potential clients. This position requires about 80% travel and reports to the Channel Development Manager.

    Responsibilities:

    The Channel Associate, Coordinator will be responsible for meeting and exceeding goals for recruitment and initial meetings with athenahealth. The channel associate will work in conjunction with the Coordinator Implementation Team and the market Account Associate, as well as regional Sales Executives to achieve these goals. The role will involve travel as new markets are developed and participation goals are increased in established markets. The Channel Associate will:

    · Target and recruit new medical practices to use Coordinator and promote referral to the contracted Coordinator facility

    · Demonstrate Coordinator product, emphasizing the services provided, to individual practices

    · Coordinate with the Implementation Team and local Account Associates to help penetrate the Coordinator market and build on cross sell initiatives

    · Support athenahealth’s Cross Sell Initiative (Non-Coordinator), by having a strong knowledge of other athena services, and ability to speak to those services at a high level

    · Generate initial meetings for the sales team

    · Support Coordinator practices as they move through athenahealth’s sales processes

    Experience:

    The ideal candidate will have experience, displayed behavior and skills in the following areas:

    · Entrepreneurial self-starter who displays a willingness to learn about channel partner management, sales and marketing.

    · Proven background as a thought leader and team contributor.

    · Ability to drive engagement and influence others

    · Strong willingness to develop sales and marketing skills needed to support growth objectives.

    Other Qualifications:

    · Strong verbal and written communication skills

    · Strong organizational skills

    · Ability to drive cross-functional initiatives

    · Fluency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel

    · Strong ability to organize and coordinate multiple tasks and communicate information in a timely fashion with an appropriate sense of urgency

    Position Requirements:

    · Bachelors Degree

    · Proven collaboration skills, particularly with stakeholder colleagues from other internal departments that need to contribute to program development and/or execution.

    · Willingness to travel regionally up to 80%.
