Whichever school buys his girlfriend a Hello Kitty backpack will secure his collegiate services.
Hearing Bama has filled the Hello Kitty backpack with cigarettes, a copy of dance dance revolution, and pokemon cards.
Our track team doesn't have that kind of budget. If he were playing football then the backpack would be diamond studded.
The best part of the recruiting package were expired Applebee's coupons. Though I heard a rumor we threw in a broken abacus.
He easily gets sub 10.0 if he cuts back to 3 packs a day
He only ran 10.43 in high school but probably could have approached 10.00 if he'd run the Summer AAU/Youth Track Club Circuit.
A kid (James "Jmee" Samuels) that I saw run since he was age 10 actually had the record of 10.08 prior to Jeff Demps. He and Holliday both finished high school in 2005 and went 1-2 at Nationals in the Indoor 60m (Holliday 6.64, Samuels 6.70) and they raced a few weeks later in the 100m & 200m with Holliday winning both.
The kids round into their best shape in the Summer and along with warmer temperatures....they run faster in June & July. Holliday didn't run the Summer Circuit and Samuels did....and he ended up running a couple of sub 10.20s including the 10.08. Would have been interesting to see those 2 battle during the Summer of 2005.
Holliday was also undefeated against Samuels in college (LSU vs Arkansas).
