He's moved UM up to No. 2 on his list of favorites.
"Miami is still in the picture," Burns said. "I'll be attending one of their scrimmages and I've been to Miami a couple of times.
"Miami's been recruiting me hard. I've talked to all the coaches. They tell me they really want me down here. I'm high on their board - they say they want me to come to the University of Miami."
The bad news for the Canes: Burns says he plans to decommit from Alabama to Florida State.
"Right now it's Florida State No. 1, then Miami," Burns said. "I'm still committed to Alabama, but I'm going to decommit from Alabama and go to Florida State - it probably will be during the spring that I do that. I'm going to sit down and talk to my head coach - he wants to talk to me to see if I really, really want to go there."
Regardless, Burns says UM has jumped ahead of the Crimson Tide.
Asked what UM can do to try and pull even with the Seminoles, Burns said, "There's nothing they can really do. It'll just be what I want to do."
Burns says what's drawing him to FSU is "Growing up I just always had a dream of playing for FSU. That gave them an extra boost. My family was UM fans, but I always liked the FSU players, the colors and the chant."
There's local pressure for him to stay close to home, of course.
"People are saying stay closer to home, you don't have to go away, you have family right here, local support and everything is basically here," Burns said.
Of how he views his recruitment so far, Burns said, "It may seem like it's gone crazy, but I'm handling it well."
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
What so he's committed to Bama but his number 1 is FSU and his number 2 Miami over Bama but he's gonna decommit and go to FSU but still consider Miami okay cool that makes perfect sense.

man, you need to keep your fellow FSU re re's in check.

Just like Bain is committed to FSU but Miami leads, these kids mane.... these frikkin kids
What the hell is in the water down in Florida these days?
The Florida Public School system has been failing america for decades
[fistpump] just glad it ain't McMillian. Luke gave Noles247 a scoop on FSU flipping a commit last night but nobody would say who.
I wish they just wouldn't commit to a school until they absolutely know or are almost positive they are going there.
His handlers are going to be a problem and a pain in the as*. We are about to GTFO and let everyone else deal with them. It's just not worth it.
Patience my friend
Our track program is the selling point and some bama fans thought he would go to Miami.
Looks like I was lucky to get out of Clearwater after one year, maybe not I'm in Indiana now..
Looks like this staff is hitting south florida hard this year while last year they went out of state for a lot of our commits. I like the way this staff recruits

TURDS ALL UP IN THIS MUG. /// "2010 Auburn Tigers, my favorite team. Unbeaten in all ways." -- Dan Wetzel, April 4, 2013, 6:29 p.m.
There is a article on our site which I am sure has made its way to BOL by now that says the exact same things as the article I am assuming is from Warchant.
As a player, I want the kid; he seems really talented. As a recruit, most guys like this tend to fizzle out and transfer, even if we did sign him. So Noles, enjoy.
I want this kid, but is it worth it getting his commitment now if he is subject to flip and flip and flip some more
Called this a week ago!
Where my upvotes at?
All the bama fans were hating on me
All the fsu fans agreed
Not really, I mean, we are still on probation and I would rather not be around a kid who uses his "uncle". No thanks, he is not worth it.
I know, just wanted to rile up the Bama's on this fine friday morning
The guy on our site called it a month ago. It's nothing new. Strange that the FSU guys here are happy about this and the FSU guys on TOS are talking about his handler and how this kid is trouble. Hmmmm
The word " handler " get tossed around a lot now..... it is sketchy but that is the new era of this crazy world of recruiting
Well, I don't know a lot about this "uncle" so I can't say. He could have great intentions or not, I don't know. But the things people are saying about him leads me to believe he might not be a guy you want to be around your program. I'm not going to repost the rumors about the guy because I don't think it's fair if it turns out to be false. But they are bad. I'm sure you can find them anyway, it's not like they are not on 2 out of the 3 big sites. Good luck to the guy regardless and I hope he keeps his head on straight and does not let a con artist take advantage of him.
