for your team and you were in the middle of a coaching search. Who do you want?
Peter Carroll or Jon Gruden
One has proven to be a great college coach and you know that he would bring instant credibility to your program. The other is younger and may be more of a long term guy, but he hasn't done it in college and there were a lot of circumstances surrounding why his Tampa teams only won 10 games twice in 7 years and never won a playoff game after his first season.
i really don't get the fascination with Gruden
his offense was to complex for NFL players... Why would anyone believe he could dumb it down to fit the college game???
and i know hes a big name and his superbowl ring would get him some solid players, but Gruden in the college game seems like Callahan part II

I can see that.
Does he bring Bush with him though? If so, how does he?
Maybe Gruden depending on answers
Carroll is the obvious answer here
he has won at the college level and he might be the best recruiter over the last 15 years
Pete Carroll without a doubt.
Carroll is the obvious answer and he may be the 2nd best recruiter in the last 15 years. Saban knocks out top 3 classes year after year against much more negative publicity. Carroll was the media's goldenboy while Saban did it being called a liar and accused of oversigning/cutting players due to lack of production (which is false). Carroll also had LA to sell while Saban is peddling Alabama.
Give me Carrol all day
matter of opinion
the way Carroll went nation wide to get the best talent every year makes him #1 for me
Carroll also signed the #1 class three years in a row(would have been 4 if not for a small class in 07)... something no other coach has done
Carroll times two.
Pete Carroll easily.
The gruden talk seems dumb though. There are good coaches out there that can recruit well for half the cost of gruden.
Good point. Probably splitting hairs though. Saban has done well in Florida, GA, Louisiana, Virginia, and other states but most are in the south. Of course, there are plenty great players to choose from in the southeast.
Lol his recruiting alone would make him an elite CFB Coach, imo
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
I'm taking PC all day. Proven beast at the college game.
