Check out that play at the 54 second mark... Marshall has a gun, FIELD AWARENESS, and pocket presence
He had a relationship with Malzhan before Malzhan left.
Remember, Malzhan was gone less than a year.
GM has been recruiting the kid for years.. He knows Malzahn wants to use him in his system and that he has the right set of skills for it.. He needs to put on some weight first and develop a little.. He's not a true frosh that I would want to throw in right away.. I think once he develops and gets a years worth of college S&C program under his belt he'll be solid
Dive for the thrill, shoot for the kill.
You need better material...
Why So Serious?
He is athletic and a good locker room guy... he is tough too. I wasn't entirely impressed with anyone.
I think he'll be a back up.. Kids got heart.. Maybe a WC QB they said Bray was taking snaps as WC QB today though
No doubt.. At least you can have an intelligent conversation with JCT... Other guy is just trying to dig
No attempt to be funny,,, but why would you need a wildcat qb in Gus system?
It is a lot of designed runs from an athletic qb anyway..
im back. what did i miss?
I still see a place for some limited wildcat use, especially when you have an AJ Mc type qb, particularly in short yardage.
But is you have a Vick type qb I don't see a big need for the change, and if the new guy is fast enough to play corner at UGA, I am curious about what he would add to their O in that situation.

We still ran a WC package when we had cam.. Power inside runs.. But if you have the right QB to run the O you really don't need a WC QB.. Like you said if you have an AJ you do Vick type you don't.. They don't like to run the QB all the time though BC makes them more prone to injury.. Don't want to lose your starter you know
I think in a Bama type situation, in short yardage it just gives you a faster opportunity to get the ball back to the LOS, Or if you put a wr back there it gives you an edge /speed option threat without the delay of an end around.
But yes, I think it's need should be lessened with the type qb AU will be
Looking to put on the field.
As effective as Dyer was in the Cat, I never, ever understood taking the ball outa Cam's hands.
He was a threat to go every snap.
And honestly,he was bigger and stronger than any other back on the team on inside runs.
He was good for 3-4 on every dive play. Always falling forward.
we rarely ran WC in 10
That's eventually what went went to.. 3rd & short they gave it to cam.. He could fall over the LOS and get the 1st.. The only reason they gave it to dyer is to take a couple touches off cam's work load to not injure the guy
I knew it wasn't much, but AUsig mentioned you running it with Cam and I remembered seeing Duer do it at least once or twice.
But that may have been early on, before everyone really understood what they had..
No,,,the best wildcat plays were in the series that won Ingram the Heisman against socar.
He ran it every play for an 80 yard drive.
Broke their hearts and spirit.

True, I thought GMAc was still in but I am not certain .
Was a MAN drive though.... Big boy football... We gonna run. Stop us!
So who is your starter at tailback this year?
Better yet,, who plays the Dyer, power back role and who is the Omac, jet sweep guy?
Burns ran it in10
Oh. I thought I remembered Dyer,, my bad.
None of us remember other teams fact like our own,,, I would just as well forget about '10.
Sure you understand.
THey're going to give mason the shot to be the head guy I think... Our Juco transfer (artis-payne) will get a good shot though and will probably be our power back... Grant will probably be our speed sweep guy
Was there and couldn't believe what we witnessed, super human effort. Didn't get thebest O line play that night , prob had 200 after contact.
Mason has potential,, good return guy at first wasn't he?
Did you not see Kodi throwing the back shoulder fade to Cam again OM? haha I understand though... I couldn't have told you Ingram almost ran for 250 against SoCar the year he won the heisman
