What are you trying to accomplish by constantly saying the same thing over and over again? You want us to say something. What is it?
10 class - good but had major attrition to the top of our class. Dyer gone, Kitchens gone, Goodwin gone, Cam gone, Fairley gone, etc. Our good class that year is not longer that good. The good players left are Lemonier, Whitaker, Reed, Carter, Holland, and Parkey. These are all true juniors and are impact players on our team. The other players from this class who are impact players are Sander, Slade, Smith, David, White, and McNeal. These are players who will get significant time but who were UnRanked. They will get time because they have experience.
11 class - great class. This was our first real class without attrition. If these kids were able to see the field last year it was limited and they were true freshman. This year they are either redshirt freshman or true sophomores. Good talent but not alot of experience. there will be some impact players in here but for the most part will be 2nd team. Westerman, Frazier, Dismukes, Frost, Robinson, Wright, Blackson, & Mason will be impact players this year, but remember these are either redfresh or truesoph. Bray, Florence, Fulse, Whitehead, Uzomah, O'Reilly, Coates, Denson, Garrett, Swain, Sigler, and Landrum are going to be rotation players.
12 class - Excellent class but not a single person who will contribute this year. Maybe a lineman if Slade does heel up and we have to shift guys around. But other than that not a singe player will get significant time this year.
So to sum up our past 3 recruiting cycles (which are our good classes) ended up with a lot of attrition in what is supposed to be our junior class and there is only a few remaining good players there. Our team is full of sophomores and redshirt freshman with a couple of juniors. But because we are able to recruit good for 3 years that means we should instantly be a 10 win team? If we didn't have the attrition that we had on our 10 class I would say that I would expect a 10 win season but given where we are at right now I would be happy with a 9 win season but expect a 8 win season. Even though the record won't reflect a better season this year the difference will be that we should be competitive in all of our losses. Everyone wants to discount our coaching staff as well, but what you fail to realize is that realistically we should have gone 6-6 last year but we didn't. I say that is a sign of our coaching staff putting the team in a position to get more wins than what we should have gotten. But why actually analyze football like you think you do instead how about just spew garbage about something you don't know anything about.
Oh no he didn't
He said I was flaming auburn bc I said you have as much recruiting talent as anyone in the sec and you have more experience.
If that offends him, then yes, he's on ur balls.
You seem like a really, really uneducated football fan. JMO.
TURDS ALL UP IN THIS MUG. /// "2010 Auburn Tigers, my favorite team. Unbeaten in all ways." -- Dan Wetzel, April 4, 2013, 6:29 p.m.
What did I say that isn't true?
In the end, you still have more experience than everybody but utenn and teams like bama and lsu are just as young...
So u aren't willing to point out where I'm inaccurate?
Last year lsu started a ton of young guys.TON!!!
They area still full of young guys this year. Bama will be extremely young too. Only difference is you have guys that have played more.
If I am on their balls because I use logic when discussing college football, then you have a strange view of human sexuality.
Auburn fans know that they had some classes that fizzled out through off the field issues and JUCO transfers that only played one or two years. You were just looking for them to start bashing their own coach and no one fell for it.
From someone that went to Alabama, but does have a good number of friends that are decision makers at Auburn, I can tell you that if Chizik doesn't get at least 6, maybe 7 wins this season, then yes he will start to feel the seat get a little hot.
A little backstory for you. I went to Alabama and my wife went there as well. We also have a good number of family members that went to Auburn and were huge donors there before passing on and were very influential in the pharmacy school there. I actually have season tickets to Auburn football games that have been passed down to us. I use them for the Iron Bowl and maybe one other game a year if the dates and game times fall correctly with Alabama's schedule, but the rest of the tickets get donated to the Make a Wish Foundation.
I guess at my age, I am just well past letting a rivalry define who I am as a person. That is not to say that I don't get into a little trash talking with me friends when the time is right either. Capt AUmerica (major) and Mr. Perfect (Bo) will tell you that we have been on the opposite end of many heated arguments before, but there is usually reason for that or it is simply fun trash talking.
If I had called auburn cheaters or thugs, I would understand your irritation. I don't participate in those conversations.
But despite attrition, it's a legit point that they still have as many "stars" as anyone in the sec. Plus their stars have more pt than alabama or lsu. Imo, that's just football conversation.
We have had some pretty bad luck in the 2010 class with nonJuco players.
1 more thug
2 medical hardships that were eventually killed
none of these were Chizik's fault but all were significant to the potential of the 2012 team as they would be juniors this year. The robbery 4, dyer being dismissed and coleman's cancer probably hurt us worse than anything for this year.
This is just a completely wrong statement. Absurd at best.
I honestly believe this to be one of the top five saddest strings of posts that I have seen on TBB.
Think I lost a few brain cells reading this thread
but..but you signed a top 10 class that year. that means if you don't have 10 wins you should fire your coach.
I will let one of the AU guys do the list for how many years on campus their starters have, but I doubt it i what Alabama's is.

I doubt Auburn will have players on the field with that number of years under their program this Fall.
Look, you return the consensus #1 OL in the nation. Why is that? Because of experience. We may be counting on sophomores, RS freshmen and a true freshman on our OL.
Your projected starter at QB is a talented RS Junior and already has a year of starting under his belt. We will likely be starting a true sophomore who threw 12 passes because our Jr QB has a hurt arm and isn't very talented to begin with.
At RB, you return a RS Jr who has lots of experience in your offense. We don't return our between the tackles stud RB because we dismissed him for bad behavior. Now we have a scat back without a role in the new offense, and a bunch of younger guys with little to no experience.
Our entire offense is a question mark because of new players and new scheme, yet you say we are more experienced?
What arbitrary timespan are you Aubbies using to claim this now? Recently would be last 5 years and Bama has won more than anyone in the past 5 years (maybe Boise, but who the hell do they play?). If recently goes back into the Shula days....you got us. Shula and our probation really did a number on our overall win pct. Didn't help he was preceded by Dubose just a few years earlier. Wtf was our administration thinking back then?
The balls are you talking about Clark?
Use the quote button.
Then you are wrong.
Using the compostie rankings by 247 since 2010, Alabama's total is 2335.94 and Auburn's is 2259.22. Then you can factor in that TOS had Bama #1 in 2009 compared to AU being #19 that same year and that just widens the gap. That is before AU's off the field problems and attrition takes place that these guys have admitted to.
AU needs minimum another year before they can contend to replace Arkansas in the triumvirate of SEC West power. They do have a lot of experience in the Front 7 on D, but thats about it.
