Coaching staff change. These are not surprising. Malzahn is actually looking like he is getting a few recruits here at the end. They are going to struggle in 2013 anyway, might as well play young guys and let them take their lumps
Art Schlichter's cellmates and Mo Clarett's rugby team believe Ohio State always does things honestly.....
Yeah..."a" SECC just doesn't sound right. I thought "an" was right...
Also, I still can't believe a USCe team that won 11 games lost to that 2011 Auburn team...at home no less. They're playing LSU in AN SECC for a spot in the national title game if they simply beat an awful AU team on their own field. Poor cocks.
I'm not sure a coach as terrible as Chizik has owned Spurrier since Dubose beat his ass twice in one season back in 99.

Early vote for Post of the Year IYAM
There hasn't been a year in recent memory when that hasn't been said.
2010 we were just old enough.
I guess every fifty years or so lighting strikes down there.
2004 we weren't too shabby... 1993 we were ok. 1983 not too bad...
Almost good enough.
Can't do much more than win every game that we play for 2004 and 1993. The other stuff will come or not. 2010 it did. 2004 and 1993 it didn't.
You didn't play a full slate in '93 so I'm not sure why it matters.
2004 was another one then. so once in 50 years isn't exactly correct.
Winning a title is objective, not subjective, so it fits nicely. No point in debating whether the 2004 team had a chance or not against one of the best college teams ever.

Not all teams get in the championship game with one loss or more or just claim one if they don't get in.
Yeah, I'm so sorry. Tough luck. Also, nice dig at 1941 I'm guessing. I don't count it and it shouldn't be counted, but I almost glad we do count it so you guys have something to cry about.
Lick my butthole
Sure, we had some luck to get in the title game last season and in 2011. That happens though. 2007 LSU, 2006 Florida, 2000 FSU went over a team that beat them and also had 1 loss, 98 FSU needed K State and UCLA to lose on the last weekend to get in. It happens. Each season is different, all teams play by the same rules and the best team usually comes out on top regardless of whether that team is undefeated or not.
93 Auburn has nobody to blame but themselves for cheating. They also didn't play the SECC or bowl game so they really have no gripe. It would be like Ohio State trying to claim this past season as a national title, same exact situation. 83 Auburn only had one loss but it was by 2 TD's at home. They finished 3rd in both polls, not even 2nd. A great season but no title, Alabama has had several of those where they don't claim a title. 2004 Auburn got screwed, such is life.
1941 is the only title I have a problem with and I wish we didn't claim it. The other 14 are legitimate as far as I'm concerned. There are several schools who claim titles the exact same way as we do, they just don't get the scrutiny we do because they don't have a bajillion like Alabama.
It's a joke to claim a national title in a season when you end up losing your bowl game.

So after the playoffs start, will you say it's a joke to claim a title that didn't involve playoffs? Those were the rules at the time and bowl games were more of an exhibition. If your opinion mattered, then Notre Dame would have to give back several trophies since they didn't even play in bowl games until the Champion started being selected after the bowl games, instead of before.
The more you know...
5 old dudes eating lunch every day at the counter of Tuscaloosa Drug and Foundry voting Bama national champions doesn't count in my book
Does the coaches poll count, genius? Yeah. It does.
After spring practice will be main time. Kids are in school now but after spring practice they will know where they fit on the team and make decisions then.
Once every 10 years is about right. And now that tam and ole miss are back, it could be less frequent than that.
Very boring thread...
