We aren't just committed to college football; we're early enrolling in it.

Scored 4 touchdowns...in a single game. Polk High!
The worst part isn't the fact that we schedule FCS teams, its the fact that we schedule FCS teams at noon.
In the 80's 90's the rhythm was you played one cup cake to get your act together, and then you played tough teams and then it was onto the conference schedule.
I applaud this move.
Agreed. Hopefully others will follow. It is good for college football.
Not good for FCS schools. Local schools that are FCS programs, such as Jacksonville State, use those big payouts to largely fund their program. It will hurt FCS schools badly if all teams follow suit.
Glad democrats realize this.
And I never stated that it was.
He said its good for college football. FBS and FCS are both college football.
And I was laughing because your party likes to take from the rich and give to the poor, yet you don't agree with that sentiment in college football.
That's rich coming from one of the worst subsidizing offenders.
I like playing other Louisiana teams, not so much other FCS teams from other states
Really didn't see a political discussion between bama fans coming from this thread...

Comparing College Football scheduling and government social assistance funding? You are better than that.
Dumbest post I have seen on tBB hands down.
So Appalachian State won't have a chance to beat Michigan again?
A provision will allow teams to play teams they have a losing record against.

Pretty dumb IMO. A lot of FCS schools depend no that. If an FBS team wants to pay them they should be able to.
I would rather have one extra d1 game than every FCS game. Don't care one bit.
Follow? To my knowledge we've never dipped down to play an FCS opponent..
Neither have we.
Tired of these cupcake games anyways... the only negative... alot of FCS schools depended on that money every year to fund their program... it is a double whammy...
I'm fine with this, especially if all CFB conferences go that route.
I don't get it. Will this give big ten fans another opportunity to cry about how unfair scheduling is and how SEC schools are scamming the system?
Well Alabama's schedule is a complete joke next year...
Are you serious? They have to play Texas A&M next year...
If this happens a lot of programs will want to move to 13 game schedules
FCS schools survived before the current trend to buy a win. They will manage.
Yes and that is their hardest game. They will cruise through their schedule with ease.
Yeh,, thank goodness Alvarez has the guts to at least address THEIR own schedule issues.. He thinks tOSU will follow suit..doubtfully..-.. They're perfectly content to be take the bigger teams out of the mix..
They just removed UGA from 2020.. 2020!!
And what's with UMwolverine talkin about AL anyway..?! The B1G is known for the seasonal cupcake scheduling, and could it just be a hint of sour grapes to say anything about the tide.! At least the SEC's pushovers aren't weekly...
Unfortunately, they were one of the 'tides pushovers last year..!
wwaaaahh waahh. waahhh
